I feel like there's been a feedback loop of "Sengun good, Jalen bad" takes in media and online among people who probably don't watch the Rockets play and definitely didn't prior to this year. It is possible for two players to both be good.
do u think he should get the max extension this offseason
Notice that I am not saying that. I am saying that it's goofy for you to suggest the Rockets are not a good team.
I think yall have great potential... you're 3 games out of the play in though lol. no offense but that's just not good
Record isn’t good because of the way they played leading up to the ASB and I think Tari being out has been a huge blow, but we're good right now and Jalen was the best player in the conference last week. It kinda seems like we actually do have a shot at the play-in cuz our schedule to end the season is pretty soft, while the Lakers' and Warriors' are harder.

they have same point differential as the Mavs, they are def good which was a surprise to me. FVV translated much better than I expected personally. I would make different building decisions than what the current regime has (I would go the OKC route and ship off FVV for a Mikal Bridges esq package) but they seem to want to be the 6th to 8th best team in the West and they will probably be there next year which is a huge organizational success considering how they looked last year.

They're point diff is bottom half of the league isnt it? the mavs have been mid most of the year till recently, and have two of the best closers in the league to win a bunch of close games. I don't think a team below .500 and out of the play-in is good but i guess everyone has their own definition

per CleaningTheGlass (https://cleaningtheglass.com/stats/league/summary) which removes garbage time scoring from the point differential, they are 14th at +1.6 in between Dallas and Indiana

They're three games below .500 at 32-35 and will probably finish the season above it despite missing three of the top eight or nine guys in their rotation to finish the year (Cam hopefully comes back in a couple weeks). Making the play-in is gonna be tough because the West is tough, but we'd be in the play-in in the East. Bird's eye view the Rockets are a good team.
Trading Fred is definitely a possibility. Idk how the opt-in timing works with all the rules in the CBA but ideally we keep him through next year and make a playoff push with Adams and all that and then pick up his option and trade him. If that's possible. Even if it is allowed it would probably be tricky.
My Spurs buddy said Dillon was the best Wemby defender in the league so I'm not trading him if I'm the Rockets. But yeah Fred is kind of expendable because of Amen who needs minutes.
The Rockets definitely aren't simply aiming to be the sixth to eighth best team in the West. It just takes time.
I think an innovative way the NBA could improve the fan experience would be starting games when they say they're starting and not fifteen minutes later or in the case of the All-Star Game that sucks anyway 45 minutes.
Innovative AF. I didn't start watching NBA until 2010 and as an NFL-only guy at the time I was stunned. In addition to being courteous to me the fan, it's just such a basic thing that makes the second most prestigious league in the country look unprofessional on a nightly basis.
Yes Jalen Green would be a great bench player for the Nuggets because he starts for a team that has beaten them three times this year. We are all in agreement on that.
Please say you think the Rockets are better than the Nuggets
I'll say it. The Rockets are better than the Nuggets.

It's completely unacceptable for fantasy and gambling purposes. If the NBA is gonna get in bed with gambling companies they at least need honest start times.

the gambling apps have the accurate start times fwiw.

Can you make and cancel bets up til tip, if someone is a late scratch? If so then that's good. You can't make subs after the listed tip in Yahoo fantasy which is moronic.

will usually lock for a minute or so after an underdog injury notification then will reopen. But to your general question, yes can bet until tip

Magic Update
Can't believe we were at the 4 seed for a split second a couple weeks ago. I don't think we will hold on to the 5 seed. I'm praying hard we can stay out of the play-in and in the normal playoffs. Schedule was easy the last month, and I expect us to go about .500 or slightly worse down the stretch. Thankfully, Philly and Indy seem like they will lose 5-6 more games as well. It will probably be close to see who will be bumped to the 7th seed. Which by the way... the fact that this urgency has been created by the Play-In tournament is truly great imo.
Paolo - Great second season. It's cool that his 1st year was better than Ant's first year. And his second year is better than Ant's second year. I'd love for him to end up being the 2nd best 1st overall pick of the last 10 years, and to continue to evolve at a similar pace as Edwards has. But he has a lot more progress to make. I think the dream is for him to fully form into a player that averages 26 / 9 / 7 on 50 / 35 / 80. Seems very achievable. It seems like we could have a guy that could be the best player on a true contender one day.
Franz - Amazing piece to have. I am so in love with the fact that Franz seems truly comfortable as the #2 option. Seeing the way the Nuggets work with everyone understanding the pecking order and the way they contribute makes me realize how important this is. He is great with the ball in his hands. He's a crafty driver and finisher. But more importantly he is a fantastic off-ball player. Finds cutting lanes and gets easy, assisted passes. Now I will say I'd like to start seeing those passes come directly from Paolo more often, but I really do not think this will be a "my turn your turn" duo long term because Paolo is the better creator and Franz is the better off ball player and finisher. Franz's 3pt % this year is odd and concerning. Definitely thought it was an aberration but its March now. Hope that isn't here to stay. He's at 20 / 5 / 4 right now and I'd just like to see him become a 22 / 5 / 5 player by raising the 3-point percentage but not the volume too much, and then hopefully he'd raise his volume in the playoffs.
Jalen Suggs - Great third piece. Great defender. Shooting lights out. Could be a starter on a champ I think but I don't think he could ever be a third best player on a champ.
Mo Wagner - This guy is overlooked and awesome. Has won us a handful of games this season. Huge energy guy off the bench and has the highest PER of anyone on the team. Assuming it also simply keeps Franz happy to have him around. He and Suggs are two of the higher energy guys I've seen play in the league this year.
Cole Anthony - I like having a black hole scorer on the bench. Sometimes we need him to randomly go off, and we don't have shot creators after Paolo and Franz.
Jonathan Isaac - Unreal defender. Can't stay healthy. I want to keep him at this point just in case. If he could stay healthy, I think he'd be a near perfect center next to Paolo down the line.
This coming offseason, I'd like to see us add a guard that can shoot the 3 at 36% or better reliably. I've seen some stuff about Klay. That would be perfect. I don't believe WCJ is the long term solution at center, but he's fine. Would prefer a more aggressive rim protector.. I really wish Isaac would just be that guy.
My nightmare for next year would be if they tried to jam someone like Derozan into this group.
Even if we make zero moves of note for the next few years, I think we will keep getting noticeably better just by having Paolo and Franz continuing to play together. That is pretty great to look forward to as a fan.

Oh and how could I not mention that we have the best theme song?! Has been the single greatest running sports team social play ive ever seen. Check out Magic posts after wins if you havent seen it this season.

Jalen Green ties his career-high with 42 points before being pulled by Ime. 10 rebounds, 3 assists and a turnover. To be fair, the Wizards team that was available tonight is basically a G League team.
