If it was like it was before, none of the teams would truly be concerned about where they landed. Do you not think that the Knicks, Pacers and Magic want to stay in the top 6? As for the Bulls and Hawks, I hear you. But are you saying it is better for the league to have more teams not trying to win during the season? At first I thought we both wanted the same shit overall for the league but now idk. Tanking is awful.

pacers played their ass off and lost to the tanking nets. i stand by earning a 7-8 seed shouldn't force you to play for it after the fact. tanking is necessary (to a point). Sixers were stuck in purgatory before Hinkie came in. he might have been extreme but it worked in terms of being able to build a more sustainable team who can contend for a long time.

sure wouldnt. not worried about playing any of the play in teams with Embiid.
C's v Nuggets right now would have the C's as favored. thats partially because I think they are better but also because they would have home court.
Tatum has no aura to me, one of the most overrated players and they have no clutch go-to's besides just hoping one of their players can iso into a tough shot.

lol bro who said we werent playing for a better seed? we lost the best player in the game for 2 full months who carries the team on both ends of the floor. im amazed we held on at all. everyone is always playing for a better seed or to set up a better matchup. like i want 6/7 to avoid boston, so does the team they dont need the play in for incentive.
So individual +/- is meaningless in a lot of or most scenarios but him being -19 in a game his team won is, I think, relevant to whether he should get primary credit for the win.

No one is saying Embiid isn't great and it wasn't a fine performance. It just doesn't do anything to show that he is the best player. Especially when Jokic had a triple-double last night.
