i bought two really cool western looking canteens. they are leather with cool leather stitching. can i bring those in with water in them as long as i show them that its water when i go into centeroo? i sure hope so..they are so neat!
You can bring them if they're empty. Sealed bottle water can be brought in and I think that's the only fluid.
Someone correct me if i'm wrong
That's the official rule, but I've brought in reusable water bottles full before. It just depends who you get in the line. I'd try to bring them in full. The worst they will do is make you dump it out. Then you just fill up inside like you would have anyway.

Some good knowledge to have during your first visit to Centeroo: Avoid the trailers, they have sulfer water. Most of the water in the festival is found in these trailers. Bonnaroo now has a couple of filtered water stations at the entrances to the What Stage venue.
I grew up worshipping Rock and Roll like a religion. I know its shortcomings and strengths but have loved it unconditionally all the same since I was eight-years old. I ran away and joined the circus and honestly, I'm still as obsessed as I was as a boy. I'm not a kid anymore but I still remember how it felt and it doesn't really feel all that different to me now.
this is great advice. i will try to bring them in full. if not ill try filling it up with some of my really cold sealed bottles...and my third try will be the filtered area....although you have to plan ahead with that because they get busy. sorry to be so anal but i drink a LOT of water and even more at roo and i just hate to buy it. i was thrilled to find a way to bring it in or carry it hands free!

That's a good point about bringing in the Official Bottle of Bonnaroo.. for bringing in liquor, that is. You would still have to be careful, every once in awhile you can get a nazi working the gate.

If someone at the gate tries to make you pour out liquor, just turn around walk back a little and try the other side. That's why I always go far right or far left when I'm sneaking something in.
agreed, but i could have done with about 5 more scatterred around and better drainage around it. there were always forever lines at them during busy times and it got to be really muddy up close to the spickets.

yeah true, but they were def the best addition from 08 to 09. Even if they make you bring your bottle in empty, those things save a ton of money on water purchases. Or if you are bringing sealed bottles in with you, they cut down on the amount you have to carry, and for the most part it was always cool/cold
it really sucked when the water stations had slowed to a trickle by sunday it was really good cold clean water they should get some of those solar water stations that suck water out of the air and condense it some of them even make ice think about that it would really help everyone from becoming dehydrated they could place more of them around the grounds and give us more opportunity to freshen up peace

it might even help lower the localised humidity around centeroo especially if they placed a few really near the front i have seen people about ready to pass out during the day because of the crowd heat and humidity most of you know what im talking about it can get downright uncomfortable up front think if everyone could get ice and cold water. plus it would be a hell of product demontsration
