Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
I really hope the pixies play this year.. their last scheduled tour date is june 9th in isreal... just enough time for a trans-atlantic flight to tennnesse.
I see that "John Garcia plays Kyuss" will be touring Europe in the summer. Apparently, he's going to do an all-Kyuss set. That would be awesome @ the Roo. Maybe even get Josh Homme to sit in and have a full-blown reunion!

i wish i could say if im going or not, but its totally dependent on this lineup. if one person i know is satisfied with the lineup, im probably going. if a group of people are, i definitely am. really the only name on the lineup to convince me to go is the disco biscuits, guaranteed there would be enough other names on there to make it worth the trip. only problem is convincing other people that there is at least one act worth making the trip for.

A user named 'makisupamerican' mentioned the Brian Jonestown Massacre in a thread that just got locked due to lack of evidence, but the guy had a good point. They're playing in DC just before Bonnaroo, which is similar to what NIN, TV on the Radio, and Animal Collective did in 2009.
In light of rampant wishing and hoping and speculating here in the Troo Music Lounge. I thought I'd create a thread to discuss any or all bands that we'd like/hope that they wind up playing Roo this year. I apologize if your thread got locked, it's nothing personal....or is it? Feel free to post threads about a specific artist if you have good info to back up your claim. We just don't want the TML forum to read like a giant long wish list made of individual threads. Thank you kindly.
I'll start. I really hope Arcade Fire plays this year because they are great and they have never played before and I like them alot.
I really hope:

I really hope Massive Attack plays. Late night. Not at the same time as The Flaming Lips. Seriously, Massive Attack would be an asskickingly awesome show.
Cypress Hill....I just heard on the radio that they are releasing a new album in April with Tom Morello on guitar. I think that would be a fabulous roo show!!

that is bad ass.
how bout some REM? They would be an amazing "Big name act"...saw them at Langerado in 08', they put on such an awesome show, Stipe is such a good performer. I would prefer them as apposed to say Paul Simon, Stevie Wonder who are about on the same level (Payment wise, for this purpose...but better too ) to replace the likes of NIN and the beasties....REM would put on a great show and not disappoint. More exciting than all these old solo acts we keep hearing about....not to rag on them but really? Paul Simon, Stevie Wonder, Neil Young, Paul MECCA, Roger Waters (who I would DIE to see) I wouldn't mind seeing one or two but I don't think Roo needs to turn into a mainly 60's solo act festival...that's not the direction they have been heading...in with REM, Modest Mouse, and other more contemporary big name acts....that will justify my 300 smackers, and seems to be more geared toward the direction of the fest.
If we get REM and NY this year, and the rest of the line-up is average for Roo, this'll be the best year yet (for me, for some others, maybe the last straw that keeps them from ever coming back).
My Morning Jacket Arcade Fire Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros Maps & Atlases The Dead Weather Spoon
I'll take all those bands except for The Dead Weather Spoon. I'm not familiar with them, but I'm sure they're great if they're in that list. I'll look for them on youtube.

I saw these guys late last year. AMAZING. Just incredible. I really hope they are on the farm, but I haven't checked their tour dates. I think we got three encores, then Dave said,"normally this is the end of the show and I won't be upset if you guys leave, but I'm gonna play some Neil Young tunes." We got three more tunes and you could tell they he wanted toplay more but Gillian was mouthing," cmon Dave, we have drive to Chicago tonight" (5 hour drive) They have a lot of friends in the Bloomington area. They just put on a really good, stripped down show. It was def in my top 5 shows of last year and I saw a ton of shows.

These guys just don't do it for me live. I love them on record though. I'd be willing to give them another chance if they are on the farm barring conflicts.
