This will be my first Roo and I'm going w/ some people I met through Zimride; I'm so glad I'm not the only one going with semi-strangers! And since we're all volunteering I might be camping by myself depending on what we're all assigned. Leo which Regge fests did you go to? Are you from VT?
I'm going with my fiance and then a couple friends are supposed to meet up with us there but we shall see. Either way, 'Roo is kind of "our thing" together so it doesn't really matter if the others ever show up.

I went to VT Reggaefest '95, '96(I think), '98 and '99. In '95 I was going to school in CT and a friend from VT turned me onto Reggaefest, great fest back then. It went away for a couple of years I know but I think its been started back up. BONUS!, here's a pic of me from Reggaefest '99

I went to 96, 97 and possibly 98... OMG I TOTALLY REMEMBER YOU!!! Just kidding, I don't remember much of anything I'm from VT and was going to Johnson State which is a few towns over. I moved a while ago and I wondered if it was still going on, I haven't heard anyone mention Reggaefest in years!
Just going with my girlfriend. We are both first timers but extremely stoked! I am also looking forward to the brunch, I've only heard great things about it. See you all on the farm!!

Well, this is about to get depressing. This year I'm getting married. Last September I told my best man ( Who happens to be a girl) that I wanted a Roo trip. She basically dropped the ball on every aspect of planning. Recently, most of my groomsmen, Best Lady included, have been bailing. No one seems to give a shit, and it's really starting to get to me. I've made the conscious effort that I'm going to stop asking them about buying tickets ( A few swear they're still coming) and just start planning for my first Solo Roo.
I'm doing it solo. Most people my age (45) are too caught up in their daily routine or feel like they're too old to enjoy a new experience. I've made many good friends at Bonnaroo and look forward to reconnecting and making new ones again this year.

We may not be your oldest or best friends, but you will definitely have friends at 'Roo!
I'm coming back to roo after two years of not attending! I'll be coming with my festival partner and best friend of almost a decade and about 10 other people. Caravans can be a blast if you have the right people, but I still think it's so much fun to make friends with your campsite neighbors and random people of Bonnaroo.
I'm going with a couple of my long time buds and a few of there friends. 4-8 of us all together. Two or three cans coming from Indianapolis. All Roo virgins. I'm trying to get as much info as I can before, be prepared, then go with the flow. I'm only really concerned a out partying to hard too early. I'll try to pace myself.
One of my best friends who lives out in Arizona will fly out and come with me! He's been to festivals before but this'll be his first Roo. I've been telling him about this awesome site I found and that there's a brunch we're going to. He's down hahaha.
There are a few other AZ buddies heading out as well. I'm not sure if they plan on coming with me (I have limited room in my little car) or if we'll meet up somewhere but I guess time will tell.

I'm going with LLL, Tronik, a friend of Tronik's, a friend of LLL's that camped with us last year and his gf, and my friends Chelsea, Shaggy, Hailey, and Meredith, all friends from college. None of us are 21 year olds, but we will be in an RV and we will indeed party! (not just looking to party, we ARE the party.)

I am coming from Indianapolis also with a friend of 34 years. This will be our first year and we are going VIP. Too old to do GA, but never too old for a weekend of music!

Well, after taking a few years off I'll be making my return trip to Bonnaroo this June! Pumped!!! I usually go with a nice sized crew, but this year will be my first solo Roo trip. Looking forward to the experience. Let me say it feels great to be back on Inforoo...this site has helped me get prepared for Bonnaroo every year I've made the journey to Manchester. Thanks to everyone on here and hope to see you all in June!

Y'all have come to the right place. There are oodles of threads about prepping as I'm sure you've already found. The best abridged advice I can give for prepping yourself for the most fun you could ever squeeze into one weekend is to stay hydrated, stay sunscreened, make friends with your neighbors as a priority as soon as you land, and don't let your happy mind be beaten down by the heat, dust, or any other obstacles you may encounter.
so far it's just me and my awesome kids. I am really excited to bring my daughter again, since she appreciates the music so much more now.
I'm still hoping one of my friends might change their mind but no takers so far. it's impossible to explain how amazing roo is, so it's hard to convince people to give up a little convenience in exchange for a life-changing experience! even if no one else comes with us, I have always had a great time being part of the coolest and friendliest community and I know this year will be the best yet!
Bringing along my sister, though I doubt she will be hanging with me at all since two of our other friends are going..At least that means there will be plenty of stories to share when it's all done!
Epicly wrong my darling--As much as I love our friends, I can only handle SO MUCH of them before wanting to strangle myself, them, and 15 people in the close vicinity lol...soooooooooo yeah but hell we will totally find random shit to ramble about as usual...we notice totally different things
