Last year before Roo I made aruawhere that Jack White sig image. He told me that he was working at Roo and doing parking and would hook me up with a sweet parking spot. He talked it up like he could get me as close as possible. I didn't ask for it but he offered it. He gave me a number to call when I was pulling in and when I tried calling multiple times he never answered. Never got a response.
Don't know if he will flake out on this thing too..........but last year he left me high and dry.

Excuse me?
I just looked through all my private messages with you, and I never once "talked it up like I could get you as close as possible." I always told you there was a CHANCE I could help you out by some stroke of luck, and if not, I would repay you for the sig with some corn or a beer. I made it very clear that I was not guaranteeing anything.
How could I guarantee that? 80k people are entering at once, and there's over 200 different parking employees and that isn't even including all of the toll booth staff, I know it is far from a sure thing for me to hook anyone up with a spot. Oh and BTW, even if you ran into me last year, I wouldn't have been able to do anything to help you out.
I hope i'm lucky......but if not - I appreciate the attempt.
You know who that was? You. That was your final message to me on these boards along with your contact info before last year's Roo. You knew it wasn't guaranteed going into this, and unfortunately for you, it wasn't.
I'm sorry I couldn't get you a better spot, unfortunately my job has numerous "X factors" and I wasn't able to help you. I said if that didn't work out, we could meet up later for a party favor. I offered my effort to assist you in getting a better spot if it were possible, along with a party favor.
I don't appreciate being accused of flaking or leaving someone high and dry, especially when I go out of my way to help 89 other people experience Bonnaroo that can't afford it.
As for this year, only one person and their significant other were able to make it on my list from Inforoo. If you're interested in this offer next year, it will be available starting January 1st next year, and it is first come first serve.

You should probably say that instead of waiting until you're called out. Seems to be a good handful of people waiting on your response / planning around it. No offense. Just kinda beat st.

Yea I woulda appreciated a response and being told "sorry man I can't help you". I knew there wouldn't be a great big chance but you offered something and told me to call you and just didn't answer or anything. I left a voicemail and got no response til now. That's what was annoying.

Whatever man, you told me everything was good a month and a half ago and that you were just waiting on the final budget confirmation. I've emailed you several times since then and you didn't respond either time. I'm sure the 5 seconds it would have taken to answer an email would have been a big deal.

Only one person from Inforoo made it? I am slightly confused. Your first post made it seem like you needed "lots" of people. Did you individually reply to the people interested to tell them they did not get accepted? Just out of curiosity, how many inforooer's applied for these "positions"?
Not trying to sound like a "Debbie Downer" but man...someone dropped the ball don'tcha think? This was, after all, you posting all this info and asking for people to come out in the Philly area. Now if only 3 or 4 people were asking about it, my bad and I do apologize, but it seems to me an email of sorts should have gone to them saying "Hey, maybe next year" or something like that. Some people may have been waiting on a response from you rather than trying to volunteer.
Did you need 50-60 people like you said in the orginal post or was the number way down? Is this the 95% sure response?
One final note: did you ever think about contacting Itrainmonkeys to tell him your situation at Roo and why you could not help him with a good spot? Yes, it was probably a long shot but a simple email might have gone a long way don'tcha think? And why wait til now to bring this up? Would you even have done so if he had not called you out on it?

I needed 90, and I filled most of them all with personal friends. Sorry, friends go first above Inforoo.
No, I didn't respond to everyone. rooter and one other person were the only real applications I got. The rest were from members with 1 post, so basically they created an account for the hookup. The person that made it, is from Philly. rooter, you live in Baltimore. It's less stressful for me to rely on a stranger from the area, rather than one 2 hours away. If there was anyone else who applied and haven't gotten a response from me, well you probably fell through the cracks with the 1-post people.
As for the itrain situation, I had totally forgotten about it until he mentioned it here. I brought 35 people last year, and 25 were festival newbs. Can you imagine that, bringing 25 people who had never been to a festival? I got more phone calls and questions than my professors the first few days.
So itrain, once again, I apologize. I tend to lose track of my phone at Roo as the week progresses, I probably forgot and didn't answer a number I didn't recognize, I have no explanation.

so if you filled the positions with personal friends, why post this stuff up here at all? Kind alike me saying "Hey guys, I am gonna pass out free money to 90 people as long as you live in my area" and afterward, saying "Well, i decided to pass out free money to all my friends first. I know I put this huge post up outlining the qualifications and what-not, but my friends come first".
Do you see how this makes you look? I am glad I was not interested in this since it just seemed kinda silly if only one position got filled up here.

I had about 40 positions filled as of Feb. 1st. I wanted to fill my positions by January 1st, so I was already WAY behind. This job is first come first serve, and my 87 friends payed first. It's unfortunate, yes, but that's the nature of the job. After word had spread that I had put up online applications, people were knockin' down my door to pay for their spot.
I felt obligated to let at least one person from here go, and that's why I'm allowing one person and their significant other go with us from here. They are the only people on my list who have not payed.
If you want to come with me next year, have $200 ready on January 1st and you'll get on the list.

What an honor. I won't hold my breath.
Still doesn't explain why you couldn't spend 5 seconds answering either of my emails. Took being called out on the board for you to crawl out of your hole.
BTW, yes it would have been so stressful to rely on someone coming from Baltimore who would have already put $200 up front... lol. Makes a lot of sense. I'm a whole 2 hours away at most.

Someone seems a bit upset they didn't get the attention they usually expect
