Galactic absolutely funking killed it last night at Terminal 5!! They had Cyril Neville with them and played the Stones' "Can't You Hear Me Knockin' and some other great covers including a sick Meters tune. People were raging until the very end.
Don't miss this tour when it comes to your town. They are doing a surprise Superbowl Party at the Brooklyn Bowl on Sunday.

Picked up a copy of their album YaKaMay last night at the show which comes out in stores on Tuesday. The record is a bunch of slamming New Orleans funk and groove.
It was a sick show. Even Tea Leaf Green was awesome.
There should be an annual Galactic festival leading to Mardi Gras.... Camp Galactic!!

They always play Tipitina's on Lundi Gras, that's the night before Mardi Gras. They usually play through the night to sunrise on Fat Tuesday. Yes it is a throwdown.
