This is truly the secret to Bonnaroo and it took me 3 years to realize it. The first two years I saw some of the late nights, but like you, I was wiped by 2 or 3 am. The 3rd Roo I decided to go for an RV, and immediately the one thing I noticed is that I lasted through all of the late nights and never got tired.
Being able to sleep in a bed, with a pillow, in the AC, until noon, allowed me to go all day and all night. Since the 2004 fest I have taken an RV every year, and have not had a problem weathering the late nights, and still having energy the next day. I really can't fathom doing it any other way now. To me, Bonnaroo is all about the late nights. The best of the best happens under the cover of darkness at Bonnaroo, but you won't know if you're asleep.
After the first year I started bringing a "shelter" tent to put around my tent, with the solid wall facing south east to block the sunrise. This keeps my tent cooler and darker for longer. Also, battery operated fans. I can usually squeeze a few more quality hours of sleep. (The first year I was up about 1/2 hour after sun-up.
During the day I take catnaps in Centeroo off to the side during some of my less must-see artists.
Of course, if it rains it's harder to nap in Centeroo but I imagine that I'll be much less sleepy!
I was also thinking about No-Doz. Anyone ever use it? I'd imagine that they're relatively mild since you can buy them at gas stations and stuff -- are they at all effective?
no-doze is probably not a good idea. Especially if you want to enjoy it. It will dehydrate you, make you piss a lot and make you crash hard when it wears off.

it's weird .. last year i would go back to my tent around 4am and wake up b4 anyone else i was with like 9:30 and i would feel TOTALLY refreshed, but then throughout the day i'd nap alot. At night it was rough .. you just gotta get past that tired peak and run around a little. Last year they had these great iced coffee drinks, i recommend getting those. They were great and they gave me an extra boost of energy

I do 50 push-ups every morning to help me wake up. This works very well. Otherwise, there's an energy drink that lasts a long-ass time. It's called, "Red Line", and you can buy them at vitamin shops. You're only supposed to drink half of it (Which usually does the trick), but if you're worried about staying up for all of late night, you could drink it all (Which would REALLY do the trick).

I am telling you guys try the guarana its at gnc like 10 bucks for 250 capsules and it will give you the boost you need. I would say pop two and see how they feel, then if you need another pick me up pop two more. But you shouldnt feel strung out or jittery, and you wont be having to take a leak every two seconds like with coffee.

hmmm. Well I think being young helps me a lot. I'm only 19....in good health (not the greatest shape) but I guess that gives me a lot of energy. Usually I get really tired right before a late night show starts but once it gets going I'm good until its over. ALSO if you are a dancer...then dance towards the back of late t shows.....that will keep your energy going for the show. I dont do energy drinks and I find it very hard to nap. I always keep my crazy creek with me so i an relax whenever and also drink a lot of water and eat at least one proper meal.....hopefully all of these things will help.

My secret is I live in the Pacific Time zone (well, technically its Arizona time, but in the summers were the same as pacific). So the bars back home are just about closing when I'm just startin to wind down on the farm at 4 a.m. I suppose it doesn't help you much, but that 2-hour time leap is a what I credit with getting me through the late-nights.

There are lil tiny packets you can guy at wal-mart you just add them to a bottle of water. Worked great. felt great. No bad feeling coming off of them very clean energy you could say. Lots of water. the more water you drink the more energy you have. Water and snacks. Your body is a machine fuel it like one.

ginseng is a great way to get some energy, but it is wise to save it for saturday and sunday. It also helps me not feel the heat as much......a really good drink is the arizona green tea with ginseng they sell cheap at walmart. You can get the jug size for like 3 or 4 bucks......it is a very good investment for your energy needs.......man, I feel like I'm in a commerical....LOL
