Hey all, I hope you all can help me. I am going to see UM at the Orange Peel in Asheville this Thursday and have a few quick riddles I was hoping you could help me with. I have never been to the Orange Peel for a show but have heard great things. I was wondering if you guys knew how well trained their security staff is in the detection department and if its possible to spray some dope, as in awesome of course, smelling Febreeze during the concert with out the security getting upset.
The Orange Peel is a fantastic, well run venue with great sound. I was there for YMSB last week, actually. They do take security seriously, but you can leave and return all you want. It is a non-smoking venue. Do whatever shadiness you need to do outside the venue and just enjoy the music while you're inside. The beer prices are usually decent as well, by the way. There are pretty much always a few high quality beers for $3.

yep but also i feel like maybe I need to make a SC/NC shows thread? it doesn't seem to exist which is dumb given how we've got the Triangle, Asheville, Charlotte in NC alone that get a good numbers of shows + some SC spots

Yeah a thread for NC (stretching east from Asheville to the triangle) would be good. Lots of people live in that area on the board. We can chime in every once in awhile with stuff in Greenville and Columbia but those don’t get as much unfortunately.
Call it the Greater Carolina thread or something like that and I think we’re cooking with gas.
