By the way....Buffalo to Manchester is around 1,300 miles....so to do it in 10 hours you'd have to drive 130 MPH the entire time.....good luck with that....assuming you do an average of 65 MPH you'll need to double your estimated travel time.

Ok, this is driving the English major in me, nuts. “Farther” refers to physical distance and “further” refers to an extent of time or degree. Class dismissed.
27 hours from arizona, and we're taking 6 days to make the trek there, and 5 to get back. there are so many exciting things to see, getting to roo will be an adventure in itself!
It is a little over 800 miles from Northern NJ. Last year we left at 3 PM on Wednesday and drove until midnight, slept in a walmart parking lot in Marion, VA. Thursday we were up at 6 AM, and arrived by 1 PM (EST) (noon CST). Total driving time was 14 hours when you take out the stops. Not bad considering we are towing a trailer.
We plan on doing the same this year, maybe leave a hour earlier to get the TN/VA border on Wednesday night.
BTW, Buffalo NY to Manchester is a little shy of 800 miles, so around 12 hours with a car.
