Everyone knows that the first years of bonnaroo were much different than is now. So I was thinking for a way to bring back the old roo. Bonnaroots. A fall bonnaroo with smaller more jam oriented headliners. It would be a very scaled back version of bonnaroo with the main 5 stages being the primary stages, if not only stages. Proposed Date: September 2-6, 2010, Labor Day Weekend, 5 Days! Thursday- Tents Only [6pm-4am], Fri/Sat/Sun- All Stages [12pm-4am], Monday- Which & Tents [12pm-8pm]
Some of the acts I was thinking of... [Not Finished] WIDESPREAD PANIC • THE ALLMAN BROTHERS BAND • FURTHUR • JACK JOHNSON TREY ANASTASIO & CLASSIC TAB • THE STRING CHEESE INCIDENT • MY MORNING JACKET BEN HARPER • THE BLACK CROWES • STS9 • GOV’T MULE • MODEST MOUSE MOE. • MICHAEL FRANTI & SPEARHEAD • UMPHREY’S MCGEE • BROKEN SOCIAL SCENE THE AVETT BROTHERS • BAND OF HORSES • LES CLAYPOOL • THE DISCO BISCUITS RODRIGO Y GABRIELA • THE WAILERS • SLIGHTLY STOOPID • GHOSTLAND OBSERVATORY BELA FLECK & THE FLECKTONES • MATISYAHU • YONDER MOUNTAIN STRING BAND IRON & WINE • BASSNECTAR • KELLER WILLIAMS • GALACTIC • LOTUS
*i like coconuts, you can break them open they smell like ladies lyin in the sun** *Hell I don't even know where I am** *for now I must sit here and ponder the yonder: The herbivores did well cause their food didn't never run** *We listen, if it feels good We shake** *You made a big impression for a girl of your size, Now I can't get by without you and your big brown eyes.**
If you're going to host a festival like this, you can do it whenever since I'm sure the unemployment rate of the people attending is somewhere in the 50% range.
Last week I was in Beijing and Shanghai -- 3 weeks from now, I'll be preparing to leave for Dublin, Normandy, and the annual economic summit in London.
That crap is more obnoxious than the threads just put in a IBTL picture and get on with your life. No need to make the board unreadable dude.

6/18: Phish in Hartford 6/25: Phish in Camden 7/2-7/4: Nateva 7/17: God Street Wine at Irving Plaza 7/23-7/25: String Cheese at Red Rocks!! 8/17-8/18: Phish at Jones Beach 9/3: Rush at PNC
This Bonnaroo lineup is in dire need of some Rush.
i would love it if roo would have another event during the year. there was talk of them having other events after they bought it. im not sure if it would be a fest or if it would be a large outdoor concert with a big name. i know they had to get some sort of license to have more than one event and they got it. i guess they will likely wait til the economy settles a little more - thats myguess - then maybe they will do something.
This is dumb. "Bonnaroots" would be primarily jam bands. Modest Mouse, Broken Social Scene, and Band of Horses wouldn't be on there. Plus, there's already a nuts ton of jam festivals. What we need are festivals that are offering acts none of the other festivals are offering, like a US version of Primavera Sound
