Just curious... anyone know of any good camp grounds around the Bonnaroo area? I'm doing a summer festival-to-festival tour this year and it would be nice to find a state park or camp ground to pitch a tent at while waiting for the festival and leaving after.

Fall Creek Falls State Park (sort of) near Pikeville, TN. Fairly close to Manchester. Great camping, hiking.
Buzzard's Roost at Fall Creek Falls. Probably one of my favorite places in the state. You can walk right up to the edge if you like...
Of course, if you have a lot of time to kill, Great Smoky Mountains Nat'l Park can keep you busy for weeks. River tubing, hiking, backcountry camping, etc.

It's from Buzzard's Roost IN FCF State Park. The picture is likely taken from the Milliken Overlook trail, though you can hike right to where the tree is. They offer all campsite amenities, bathroom, electric, shower, etc....
If you have a lot of time, you might also consider the Ocoee River area near Cleveland, TN. They have a great river for rafting and kayaking.

South Cumberland State Park is only about 25 miles away from Manchester. Lots of beautiful hiking and camping at the Fiery Gizzard, Savage Gulf, and Stone Door.
I went to Camp Gailor Maxon in Monteagle for many summers. We always hiked to fiery gizzard. It was one of the highlights of camp every year.
I"ll have to check out that link. Probably a bit different so many years later, there wasn't an official park or anything. Just a beautiful long hike and a great swimming hole as a reward. There can only be one fiery gizzard, right?

South Cumberland is one of the newest state parks and one of my favorites at that. I would think there's only one Fiery Gizzard. If you were on Monteagle then that's definitely the same one. I wonder which swimming hole you are talking about... probably the blue hole (my favorite waterfall!).
^^^Didn't know this Park had been created. I'm gonna have to check this out. Looks great!
I definitely suggest hitting up the vistor's center, it's not far off 24. They have a nice 3D topographical map of all the trails and falls. The park is super spread out so it's nice to get maps of all the places to visit.
P.S. The camping at Stone Door is free... which is not usually what I've encountered at state parks.
