Hey guys, Dude here. So this year will be my fifth bonnaroo, and i'm really excited but after taking down my list o' people this year, I've realized that there is the possibility that we might be travaling with almost fourty people (At least 20). I'm really afraid and sketch on screwing this up, and I want it to be the best bonnaroo ever for everyone. I have plenty of experience with fests now, but I've never even attempted more then two carloads of people.
Whats the best way to organize this sucker so we have the optimal amount of suplies without doubling up too much? Should we get there wensday night and chill in BFE then trek to tents only, or gamble on thursday evening?

I do not have advice, only a plea.
This may be slightly selfish of me...but the thought of a group of 40 people in cars coming into tent only seems kind of invasive. They've progressively shrunk the tent only area over the years, and it's become quite crowded. As someone who has no other option than to camp in tent only, I'd prefer a group that large to work out a caravan and acquire land that way Even if only half of your group comes in together, you can work out a large area by swinging wide next to each other and have plenty of room for the rest of your group to come to your camp.
Obviously you are free to do whatever works for you, but that's my two pennies.
Without jeopardizing the time you might have making people happy, why don't you give them the link to this message board? They then can read all about what they need to bring and do. I think you will be running around like a nut trying to keep all the logistics in place for that many people.

Well I appreciate your input, but I'm sorry, we all paid for our tickets, the same as anyone else. Are you flying in? Doesnt the shuttle drop you off right in the thick of tents only? Not to mention 40 people is a drop in the bucket compared to Roo in general (How many people are going to be at Camp Inforoo this year??). But the truth of the mater is, the whole point of organizing the carvan up there would be so we dont end up doubling up on stuff we can use and we can share and share alike. Everyones going to be sharing tent's and we'll be using two ez up's as a hang out spot, so in actuality we'd be saving alot more space in tents only then if everyone tried to camp by themselves or in smaller groups. But hey, Karma all around. I might as well make a Plan A and a Plan B. One if we get parked out in BFE and one if we get a reasonable parking spot (which has never happened for me all four years previously D:)
Oh and I always share the inforoo with everyone I met who's coming, but alot of these people are counting on me as a veteren to help them out.

More power to ya, dudester. My concern was misguided and should be directed at the roo organizers for progressively shrinking the size of the tent only area. Not at folks looking to have a good time
I do fly in, the shuttle drops off where the BFE walking path and VIP entrance converge.
And if your group does do tent only, you definitely want to park in BFE Wednesday and walk over first thing Thursday. We showed up in the early afternoon on Thursday last year and had a super hard time finding enough space for a couple EZ ups for camp inforoo.
