I wouldn't say "Pointless," Bek. Clearly if you were mafia you couldn't hide in the shadows as you did last game, that would be much to big of an indicator that you may be guilty, again. By being more up front and involved this game could just be another ploy, which wouldn't surprise me. Using the "first one to speak and willingly change your vote," makes me wonder whether or not you're just flipping your strategy from last game..... ;D

^^ (insert big long exasperated sigh with here) I am NOT mafia.
you know what sucks about being on a winning mafia team? Not only do you feel guilty and evil the entire game but nobody trust you for like the next three games... I hope the current mafia members remember that. Just sayin'.
Y'all do what you gotta do... at least I know I'm innocent and I have tried to go the extra mile on this fucked up round.
Quacked up round is right! Unless it looks like votes are stacking up against Chief I'll be forced to change my vote to stay alive. I'm not sure who out of the people in the run-off look most guilty to me but since Bek put me in I may have to go there. Kdogg would be my other choice since his plan is what put me in the run-off.....but he isn't in the run-off or the one who tried to put the nail in my coffin. Since Bek chose me she is my most logical choice. I'll keep it with Chief for the time being to see if anyone votes for him. I'll be able to check back here pretty frequently all day so if I see I need to change to Bek to stay alive, I will.
I don't necessarily think Chief is guilty but since we had our little "thing" last game and I don't have a formal recipricol voting partner like some of you I chose to vote for him again.
If anything, the Bacon-Airline situation is what has me most suspicious. I would still like to see both of them in the mix. I was planning on voting for one of them in the runoff, but was hoping to first learn out more about that situation...
That and Higgi... I can't be the only one who finds his self-vote more suspect than Bek's suspicion of it, can I?
Since my proposal has failed in keeping Bek - one of the 2-3 people I maybe kinda trust at this point - off the chopping block... I have no problem straying from a deal that has failed to realize its purpose.
I do believe there's something to the Bacon-Airline situation, and that they should both be involved in this runoff.
That and Higgi... I can't be the only one who finds his self-vote more suspect than Bek's suspicion of it, can I? kdogg >>> Airline
I might have done the same thing in his position.....I think I'd rather cast a self-vote than be the one to kill someone and put a target on my back so early on. He DID wait a long time to jump in and vote....and that could be suspicious. But if he is Mafia why wouldn't he have take the opportunity to off someone? I know it is a typical Mafia move to be the last vote....but waiting just to make the outcome an 11 way run-off? Bek's suspicion of it is way more suspect to me. I think at first glance Higgi's move was suspicious but I just don't see what his motive would have been and what he would have accomplished by it.
That and Higgi... I can't be the only one who finds his self-vote more suspect than Bek's suspicion of it, can I?
I am fighting to understand why a self vote versus being the deciding vote with NO knowledge as to who I might be killing makes me suspicious!?
Reasoning= I did not want to be the person who chose to kill someone because I was the last to vote. I ALWAYS prefer a runoff vice a straight up kill, and for me to just randomly pick someone and have them killed is dumb considering I would be shooting in the dark.

I didn't put it in the rules at the beginning of the thread, so if anyone objects to the votes carrying over I'll cut it out. But to save time I say yes the votes do carry over.

I can see why Higgi's move doesn't necessarily imply guilt... but you can also understand why a player being suspicious of that move is also perfectly normal. I may well have considered Higgi's course of action had I been in his position... but I don't think a player suspecting Higgi is in and of itself worthy of suspicion. Not saying either of these two are necessarily innocent/guilty because of this situation, but I don't think either of their involvement makes them necessarily suspect. I think Bek's response to Higgi's self-vote was perfectly plausible, and I don't think her questioning Higgi's self-vote is by itself reason enough to put her on the chopping block.

Trust me, I'm with you on the runoff stance. I'm just curious as to why you thought your 11th vote was going to be the deciding one? You really thought there wouldn't be a runoff if you voted for someone besides yourself? Exhibit A against that would be everything that's happened since your vote...
The players I'm most curious about aren't even in the runoff. I can understand why Bacon broke the impasse, even if I'm unsure about his selection methods. I can understand why Airline reciprocated Bacon's vote. What's got me wondering is why NTRT and Jack both sat back and let Bacon/Airline do their thing, without questioning it, without changing any votes they were no longer obligated to keep... I wouldn't be surprised if either Jack or NTRT were implicitly approving of that situation. NTRT at least asked some follow-up questions to statements that were made; Jack hasn't said a word since he voted for Airline on Saturday - it doesn't matter who the vote is for, a silence that long looks suspicious as well.
Throwing that out there for Townspeople feedback. Sticking with Airline for now, but willing to change my vote if presented with a better reason for another candidate.
I suppose I didn't consider the fact that a reciprocal vote would have ensued had I just chosen someone.. But in that, most likely, would have put me in the runoff, putting my life at risk and if not, would have made me look much more guilty annddd given me an enemy or two or THREE if I had chosen a mafia player...
For my own well being, I voted myself.. I am a townie, as my PM noted, and not trying to look suspect this early in the game.. Also I feel that by voting myself, and the changes that have occurred since, have revealed some very valuable information that will become useful as the game continues.

Why would I change my vote? I voted for bacon before he voted for me, so I was never obligated to keep that vote in the first place.
I agree with you on Airline, Kdogg. His silence is pretty suspicious.
I'm changing my vote to Bek...mostly to save myself and partly because Higgi's explanation for his self-vote make more sense to me than the suspicion you and Bek have toward it. Plus, Chief doesn't really seem guilty to me at this point.

bek>>>null
I will reevaluate all of this when I get home. Sorry I landed you in the run off, Jen... it was a random vote.
I repeat... I am NOT mafia. Cross my heart and hope to die, stick 50 million needle in my eyes, burn my vinyl, sell my ticket, and flush the corn, scout's honor.
That was kind of odd either way you look at it. Odd that you voted NTRT since he wasn't really in the run-off....but even odder that you changed your vote so fast. It should be known on the record to others that you DID originally vote NTRT before changing it to me.

I believe he was saying Jack's silence was suspicious, but maybe i'm reading it wrong. Either way all I did was vote for someone who voted for me. That's it.
-When I Hear My Name -Dead Leaves and the Dirty Ground -Blue Orchid -Passive Manipulation -Red Rain -Death Letter -My Doorbell -Hotel Yorba -Same Boy You've Always Known -Lovesick -Little Ghost -We're Going to Be Friends -The Hardest Button to Button -Black Math -The Nurse -I Just Don't Know What to Do With Myself
Encore: -Ball and Biscuit -Seven Nation Army -Screwdriver

^^^^ hmmm. i didn't really think i was hiding that fact. it wasn't weird that i changed my vote so fast, i was online and reading back through. what is odd about that?

Yep, you are right. That is what I meant. I got really confused about the whole thing because I wasn't sure what Kdogg meant by the "Bacon/Airline situation".
Is this right???If so, then yeah I vote for bacon because I feel like I owe jen a break since it was my fault she even got here to begin with. I am impartial about airline right now, I am still not sure what the whole "bacon/airline" thing is all about and why it would make either one of them look guilty HOWEVER bacon is the very reason why I am in this run off so turn about is fair play.

I was referring to Jack's silence there. Handgun's had/recovering from surgery and she's participating more than he is.
Like I said, I can understand why Bacon broke the impasse and they wound up with two votes apiece... I think Silent Jack's involvement in that foursome might be making me y'all more suspicion-by-association than I should be. I was kinda hoping he'd speak up in the runoff, but that hasn't happened. If Jack's the one bugging me here, I certainly don't want to be voting the same way he is... I must change it.

While doing my reading, I see that this is most assuredly not correct. Your total number of votes adds up to nine. We have eleven players. Strange things are afoot at the Circle K...
This is what I believe the tally should have looked like after Bek cast that vote for Bacon.
What I believe to be the actual total: Round 1 Run-Off Vote Totals Bacon: 4 votes Jen: 2 votes Bek: 3 votes Airline: 2 votes
Bek under-reported the tally for both herself and Jen by one vote. I find this curious. Jen, I could maybe just write off as clerical error since it wasn't the only one Bek made... that, or maybe EAP's vote-editing shenanigans threw her off, but that only explains the Jen error...
But the other one? Herself? Before Bek's vote & tally, she was tied with Bacon. After Bek's vote & tally, Bacon was ahead by two votes. Something about this does not sit right with me.
It helps that Bek is my usual vote in times of uncertainty, because now I'm really confused...
