This year is going to be my first trip to bonnaroo hopefully and I had a question. Is it alright to ride a motorcycle to bonnaroo? Will they not let you in if you're on a motorcycle?
Also, is it just a tent city for camping, or is there wooded areas to camp in. Because I usually just bring a tarp and a camping hammock and that requires 2 trees to hook it up to.

No trees whatsoever. You'll be camping in a big field with no shade. I think a tent is necessary, but I am sure people have gotten by without. I'm pretty sure you can ride a motorcycle in, check the official website. I don't think I've ever seen a motorcycle at Roo before. You'd have to pack extremely light. What will you do for a cooler?

I have seen bikes before and have contemplated riding mine before, mainly for the purpose of basically riding up to the gate and avoiding the long wait to get in(but then usually those who are in line with you are your neighbors and may not play nice). Just be aware that you will be in a huge field so if it rains, hope its a dual sport. I would also be concerned about folks that wander through the campsite "all jacked up mountain dew" and various other things would be a little more likely to look for valuables (unless you at least have locking hard cases) or any other type of general schenanegans. It has been done, but I would make sure you use some extra planning and common sense as far as keeping your ride and possessions safe.
i think you could do it. i would worry about not having a cooler but perhaps thats not an issue for you. once you are there my guess is that you could buy some drinks at walmart which is nearby and put a couple in someones cooler.
as for the trees. there is a treed area that people camp in but its not in tent only. i dont see why you couldnt move over there. i was near that grove year before lasst and it wasnt full.
if i would park the bike between two cars. i would think that it would be less likely to get knocked over that way.

This has come up before, and unless something has changed I do not think you are allowed to bring a motorcycle.
I thought that too Jess and I looked at the "What not to bring" on the Roo site. Here's what it says:
"No bicycles or scooters or personal motorized vehicles will be permitted into the festival grounds (This includes, but is not limited to: golf carts, ATV's motor scooters, and powered skateboards). NOTE: You will, however, be able to park your bicycle or scooter at any festival entrance via bicycle racks. Please note that the festival is not responsible for your bike/scooter and that you will not be able to move your bike/scooter unless you are leaving the festival grounds."
^Yeah either last year or in 08 someone ended up writing them and getting a response of no. I do not think they want something that someone could be riding around the grounds on in there.
There were two or three guys on motorcycles in line with us last year. They came from Canada, I believe. They had absolutely no trouble getting in. I remember thinking they were crazy =) but I simply can't travel light. They had huge packs on their backs with all the stuff they needed. I wonder how they fared.
