There are plenty of places to buy canned beer in Nashville. If you let us know where you're staying (if you're comfortable revealing that), we should be able to direct you to the nearest beer place.
15 minutes south of Nashville - exit 69 on I-65: The management here stocks up on cans for bonnaroo. Right next door is Cool Springs Wine & Spirits, where they have to keep all the super high octane brews (yes, really stupid state law).
We don't have the best selection of canned beer here. You can get Fat Tire in a can here so that's what I always go for. I live in Murfreesboro (about an hour away from Manchester) and we have an awesome beer store here that is right off the interstate that has a pretty good variety of canned beer. I can get you directions if you will be driving thru this way.
Yeah that would be awesome. We're going to be staying in nashville right near downtown. Not sure if we'll be passing through at any point. But we're going 3 days early so we might make a little trip. I don't want just PBR... looks like from other posters having variety is the way to go.
If you are staying in Nashville then you will definetly have to come thru Murfreesboro to get to Roo. It is right beside Stones Rivers Liqours so if you google that you can get the directions.

The Oskar Blues family is the way to go. Mama's Little Yella Pills for when it's super hot, the flavorful ones for the rest of the time.
Or if you're from the Houston area, try southern star's bombshell and pine belt.
Tried the Yella Pils the other day... delicious, and I usually don't like pilsners that much. The Old Chub, IMO and for my tastes, is disgusting... Gordon, while very good, just seems slightly underwhelming for an IPA, to me. Maybe it's too lightly carbonated?
Dale's Pale Ale is the best. I also love canned Warsteiner.
Oskar Blues just released a double IPA called Gubna. Was pretty good, definitely a lot more intense than Gordon's so I'm sure you'd like it, but it isn't worth the price in my mind (and I have no qualms usually with spending 20 bucks on a really good 750 or bomber).
Myself, I will throw some of my homebrew in some plastic jugs, bring some locals and hopefully exchange some great beers from all over the country with other beer geeks such as myself, regardless of glass or can!
Boulevard Wheat now comes in metal bottles if you're in the midwest, but you can only buy them in singles and they're hard to find. Plus, it gives the beer a bit of a smoky flavor (which I find pretty good). Look for it in the midwest, esp. around Kansas City. Otherwise I love the Caldera but it is also expensive!
I love beer, big beers with tons of hops or belgium ales, but it's so damn hot at bonnaroo I think I would puke if I drank a hop devil or duvel. So I go with good ole american swill, lite on the palate and light on the wallet. budweiser lime, good every time. when ya get sick of that switch to whatever damn lite beer, 30 pack you bought by the half dozen at the packy.

^^^ Fat Tire for shizz, it's an Amber so if you like the red you'd love this stuff... also if you can find it, Dales Pale Ale is pretty darn good if you ask me ;D
Smart guys.
Wow I've never seen Fat Tire in a can before, but then again they just started carrying New Belgium stuff here in South Carolina not too long ago.

oooo I don't know, that Fat Tire went down awfully smooth. I remember drinking that last Fat Tire, opening a Tecate, taking a swill, and spitting it right out. I haven't consumed a mexican beer since.

hah well I don't know if I would necessarily compare Tecate to PBR. I personally think PBR is far superior to Tecate or any other Mexican beer I've had. As for Fat Tire - well I'm not really much of a fan anyway so you know..

Oh no I wasn't comparing the two at all. Just comparing Fat Tire's superiority to Tecate. I will prob be taking my fair share of PBR as well as Fat Tire. I never thought I'd say this, but PBR isn't half bad. Def worth it for the price.

For sure! I need to find a beer that is somewhat on the hoppy side, but not to a degree that would be sickening in the heat, that comes in cans, that I can get in Bloomington or in between here and there. I don't know if it exists. Fat Tire is a little too malty for my tastes, I need to start experimenting.

That's what's up
I am high class when it comes to beer but by god, I'm a broke ass college student and PBR works. Hipsters aside, it's just a good beer for when you're low on cash.

I don't think anyone's trying to argue that it's this great masterwork of beer, comparing it to allot of craft beers or anything. I'll just say that , for the price, if I were given the choice of any standard domestic beer... Yuengling, Bud products, Michelob products, Busch, Coors, Miller, Natty, etc. .... I'll always take a PBR over any of it.
It's easy to drink, not too light, doesn't have a "bad" flavor at all... plus, at 50 cents per can, you aren't being ripped off.
If I want to drink, but don't feel like spending 8 dollars or more on a six pack of REALLY good beer, I just go with this, always.
And Tecate is garbage... overpriced in the states, it's inferior to both Modelo and Corona as far as cervezas go.
