As far as the list of complaints, and responses to the complaints. I'll admit it had no part in this particular thread. I got a little carried away with that, and that portion of what I wrote was not directed an anyone in particular.
As far as the gif goes, i get it now, still not sarcasm, but it makes since. It would have been epic had you taken the time to add music to it, and it would not have required an explination

Something else I found funny... how does liking Nickelback make someone metro? I've never seen anything to suggest this. Maybe musically ignorant and a bit of a sheep, but I've never seen or known anyone to like Nickleback and instantly thought " oh, that person's metro".

Okay, firstly hammett, you referred to Only By the Night as Fly by Night. This may seem trivial, but you are confusing an awesome song by an awesome band with a shitty album with a band that is "currently" shitty.
secondly, i thought that .gif was funny, and an appropriate response. how else can you respond to someone who sees listening to Use Somebody ten times more pleasurable thann listen to any given White Stripes song once. that represents such a complete and shocking lack of credibility that you just have to stare in confusion for a second before you laugh and drive away, much like the gentleman in the gif.
thirdly, the main thing i took away from this was that somebody went to a Nickelback show (along with ten thousand others) and taped it for others enjoyment. and other people have watched that video and enjoyed it. in fact they probaly said "this is so awesome/sick!!"

i didn't even realize those guys were still around until i happened to turn on the VMA's and they were being nominated for awards and crap. i just shook my head and turned it back to football

OK, so Fly by Night sucked, and Because of the Times wasn't alot better, but they still get credit, in my opinion, for Aha Shake Heartbreak and Young Manhood. Just because they sold out in 2008 doesn't mean the music before hand wasn't good. And to be honest, I would rather have to endure Sex on Fire and Use Somebody 10 times a day each, then be forced to listen to Seven Nation Army, or The Denial Twist one time.
I saw them at bonnaroo on Friday, they were by no means great, but I enjoyed the show. I think I actually enjoyed Metallica's Friday Night Set from 08 more (And I broke my quacking ankle at that show), but I still enjoyed seeing Kings of Leon. I seriously doubt I will see them again, unless: A; they are at a music fest and nothing else is happening, B; they redeem themselves with a good album... the former of which would be more a likely situation.

First Off, I would rather listen to cats rape each other than either of those (white stripes) songs. Sorry, the sound of either of those songs is an instant skip to the next station.
Secondly, I would wager quite a few, considering all the trash on the ground, and the darkness. I was standing on the edge of the mosh pit and got some random huge guy pushed into me. I stumbled to my left and stomped on a half full bottle of water (with the cap on), and rolled my ankle all the way over. More than one other person actually heard the sound effects my foot made OVER the music. Sucky moment. I limped on that foot for 30 hours, because I wasn't gonna miss Jack Johnson and Pearl Jam. I left Sunday morning, Monday I got an xray, a cast, and some crutches, luckily I didn't need surgery.
