MORE DETAILS ON THIS EVER EXPANDING EVENT WILL BE COMING SOON!
I will more than likely be there the weekend. Should be an awesome time!
Why did they arrange to have them play at two separate venues that are like 30 minutes away from each other? That'll put some people who are from out of town staying at a hotel not being able to walk back to their hotels after shows.
Also for those out of town going to this. There is a toll booth on the way to the ampitheatre.
and look for "Three Day Early Bird Pit Pass" or "Three Day Early Bird Rear/Lawn Pass". the only difference between the two is whether you want pit or lawn at the Verizon Ampitheatre show.
We are excited to announce that starting this weekend at SummerCamp, and continuing for the foreseeable future, long time STS9 lighting designer Saxton Waller returns to the desks to light your domes once again. After a much deserved break from the road Mr. Waller has been in the lab concocting easily his best creations ever and we’re excited to be under them while you’re out there enjoying ‘em.
Saxton picked a tune to pre-program some dope new design ideas to give us all a taste of what’s to come the next few months. We hope you take a peak and his most recent rendering of “Arigato” hot off the presses.
Oooooh, I want in. I definitely can't afford all 3, but I'd really like to make it to the Verizon show. This helps to make up for all the Mountain Park shows I'll miss while I'm in the dirty south for a few months. Only problem-- no one to go with! I don't know anyone down there except my family, who most certainly will not be joining me. ehhh, I'l figure it out. Nice, though, I'm stoked about this.
The Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre is an awesome venue, I have seen quite a few shows there. The sound is great, and the way seating is arranged, from the pit to the back of the lawn there isn't a bad place to be sitting.

FML. My girlfriend got the flu today so now we're not going. If anyone reads this and wants two tickets (lawn seats) you would be doing me an epic favor. I'm more pissed that I've been looking forward to this epic show since the day I got back from Bonnaroo and looked up when Disco Biscuits would be around. AARRRGGGHHHH. I'm so down
We need to form together to give Murph and Hunter Brown's laptops irreparable viruses. I'm really getting tired of this new sound. Friday wasn't bad, they played a lot of great stuff. Doing half of Moon Sockets acoustic and then finishing it off to start the set was a reaaal nice touch. And then they bust out Somesing, Ramone & Emiglio, Frequencies Peace 2 & 3, HUBBLE, and What Is Love. Last night, however, I was not feeling. I knew when they opened with Unquestionable Supremecy Of Nature that it was probably going to be a pretty PA heavy evening. It's frustrating to me because the whole point is to get the crowd to go off whenever possible, so the premise is to WOMP the shit out of us. However, I feel the crowd goes off the most when these guys get down on their instruments and play some beautiful music, like we all know they are capable of. They definitely played some nice songs Night 2, such as Rent, Inspire Strikes Back, and Wika Chikana. Definite dance parties going on there. They just lose me with those dark digital beats. Anyway Bisco stole the show last night for sure. Wish I didn't have to work tonight....
So...I don't really know too much about STS9, Zapp...You're saying they are a lot better live when they get off the computers and pick up instruments?
Oh yeah man, definitely. They are gifted at creating these beautiful, uplifting instrumentals which happen to feature some nasty drum and bass breakdowns and really cool guitar licks (nothing technically amazing, but with awesome tone and really more to color the groove). Here's an example, which song do you think is better?

Yeah, definitely the first. To be honest, I've never really been into STS9 because I've heard a few of their records a few times and it just seemed like second-rate electronic music, but that instrumental jam is pretty damn cool.
Oh no. They used to be something serious. I would say their current state of affairs is certainly second-rate. Their older shit is a lot jazzier, more patient, and more spiritual. I've got plenty of shows I could point you in the direction of if you want to give them a serious shot.
PM'd karosko. Nodepression, I hope you're saying that from the stance of someone who actually checked out that ...And Some Are Angels video and not a blind hater.
