What do they sell in the Bonnaroo General Store? I'm flying in and want to travel as light as possible so I was hoping to pick up the bear essentials at the festival itself. Can I buy a cooler there? Chairs?

I can't remember what all they had in the store, but I can guarantee you wouldn't want to buy anything there. Way too expensive. I mean WAY too expensive.

I second that! I think a pack of cigarettes was close to $10 one year....so I imagine chairs would be outta this world.
Usually there is a thread for people flying in who need things. Someone on here will bring it for that person. I don't remember the thread title but I will look for it. Inforoo seems really slow this year so there may not be as much of a response as there generally is.

or just stop at the walmart on the way in? A cardboard lined cooler was like 20 bucks or something insane. I wouldn't recommend even stepping foot in there
I am flying in on Thursday morning and going directly to the festival, So I am just curious if in the worst case scenario I need to buy a cooler, I'll be able to
Here is the thread I was talking about. It is from 2009 but someone may update it for 2010. I would organize it but I'm not going this year and would probably just space out on keeping it updated. I bumped it up a few seconds ago so maybe if you just post the need for a cooler under my post you will get lucky with a response from a generous Inforooster.

I grew up worshipping Rock and Roll like a religion. I know its shortcomings and strengths but have loved it unconditionally all the same since I was eight-years old. I ran away and joined the circus and honestly, I'm still as obsessed as I was as a boy. I'm not a kid anymore but I still remember how it felt and it doesn't really feel all that different to me now.
You may wish to try the helping hand thread. I brought chairs and water for some guys flying in from Canada one year. They brought the chairs back too. That's the important part, if someone brings you something to use, bring it back. If that doesn't suit you, go to Walmart and buy some cheap stuff. I flew into Sasquatch last year and we did just that. Ice is really the only thing you buy from the general store.

There is a 2010 Helping Hands thread now active. I agree that the General Store, like a hotel gift shop or bar ATM, is for emergencies only. (Though, to answer your question, yes, I believe that they did sell styrofoam coolers.)

there is an american spirit tent in centeroo where you can get 2 free packs of smokes if you get on their mailing list...it takes a whole day to smoke one of those cigs, so not really a bad deal...you can chose what flavor you want as well...
One more thing to consider is that people will be selling stuff on Shakedown and other parts of the campgrounds. Cigarettes, beer, food, cold drinks, etc, can be found for much cheaper than from the official vendors.

yeh my tent that i bought from walmart for 30 bucks kinda got quacked up after thursday night last year. I went to look for one at the general store and the same exact tent was 90 bucks. Please save your time and money and don't shop at the general store for your neccessities.

General Store, boo. The only thing it's really good for is texting "I'm waiting inside the general store right outside the arches. See you in a few" to your buddies that are trying to find you.
