I was thinking about getting this, only 50 with free shipping. In 08' I had the cheap blue tarp with 4 poles on the corners over my tent. It worked but we had to rig it up. In 09' we used an EZ UP but it was a friends who isn't coming this year. So I was thinking about getting this screen house.
I would put the screenhouse, tent and just put a blue tarp over the tent so we can sit in the screen house. Would this be enough shade? The roof of it doesn't look very large.
Look on Craigslist 1st. I tried eBay but I found much better deals on CL but you gotta be quick in responding to them cause I think they get sold fast. Search gazebo, screen room, etc.

Ooh, great question! I was thinking of asking the same thing. I have a 10x10 screen house, and have been debating on whether it will be enough, or if we should also invest in a canopy. What do you guys think?
I never use Craigslist, just seems a little shady...the one on Ebay looks to be on point.
I've used both. Craigslist is nice cause it's closer so you can go drive and inspect the item before paying. Sometimes Ebay items may not say something or may have more wear and tear than it seems. And shipping can take forever (watch out for inflated shipping costs!).
It's an individual preference, really. I like to get the most bang for my buck though, so I use both and weigh the pros/cons before deciding which to use.
I managed a hexagonal gazebo for $25 off of Craigslist and realized when I got there it included screens! yay! Just needs some cleaning which is fine by me. I'm gonna try using a tarp in between it and my tent for added shade and protection.
I found this review on walmart.com.. Yes, I just realized this is an ozark trail screen house, the crappy walmart stuff.
I'll give it that this thing is very cheap and you can't expect too much, but the roofing is by no means waterproof and it doesn't provide much shade. I brought this to Bonnaroo '08 where it rained all Friday night and leaked a lot. I wasn't expecting this to give much shelter from the rain, but didn't collapse under moderate wind and the amount of times we entered/exited during a 3-4 day span. It fit my Kelty San Miguel 4 with enough space to put my 72qt Coleman 5-day cooler and 2 camping chairs. I safety pinned some bed sheets to the sides for some shade, but the top is very translucent and lets the blazing sun come through pretty much unfiltered. I have to mention that the shape of the base made it difficult to stake down properly, it felt a bit taught because the legs are meant to splay out and it's not obvious how far out they are meant to go. I'm not sure if I will ever use this again, but I was buying so much equipment at the same time, I thought I would buy a cheap canopy. When I go to Bonnaroo next year, I'll definitely put $80-$120 towards a high quality canopy since I'll have less gear to buy. The bottom line is that as hard as I am being on it, I guess it isn't all that bad if you aren't expecting much from it.
So yeah, I don't think I'm gonna get this one, he said that it doesn't even provide adequate shade.
I like Craigslist, I've been keeping an eye out for gear but so far no luck.
I posted this in the deals thread, but Rose's is selling ez-ups for $50. They have all the brand markings removed, and they are in crazy colors (Rose's is a discount store) but for $50? The neon will just be easier to spot!
OK, so I'm down to three choices right now for shade, I'm gonna hang sheets on the side where the sun is for better coverage. I need your help to decide which one is better.
This one is 57.57, free shipping
This one is 67.00, free shipping, and it has more reviews, mostly positive.
This one is 76.87, free shipping. BUT, it says "Fiberglass poles support roof Molded pole joints" Both of the others have chain corded steel frame. Idk which one is more durable, i know most tents have the fiberglass poles
I'd get an EZ-UP but due to luggage restrictions on greyhound I have to get a less bulky canopy.
I would do number 3..... looks like much better air flow. Last year when it rainged hard we put our tent inside one very similar to this and that helped a tad for rain.... if its ridiculously hot then you could just use this as your tent altogether as well.
The first one works fine but if it gets really windy you have alot less support...
