hey guys,
sorry if this is a repost but I looked a few pages back + used the search and couldn't find much of anything on Camp Bisco 2010.
I'm planning on going this year for my first time and was curious to hear feedback on those who have gone before.
Some of the things I really like about the fest are: cheap tickets (only like $150), great lineup that is different than the norm, relatively close(upstate NY vs. Tennessee...big difference), and some fun activities that set it apart from other fests (Color Wars, which from what little I know about it sounds awesome)
I'm excited to see Diplo, Major Lazer, Girl Talk, LCD Soundsystem, and Ween, and think the members of that group not yet on the Roo lineup would make great additions. In the past I wrote Camp Bisco off as a bit too "jam band-y" for my taste, but it's cool to see a lot of bigger electronic artists getting put on, and I hope the hip-hop gets rounded out to be as good as last years(Snoop, Nas, B.O.B.)
tinyurl.com/CBisco9 has all the pertinent details you could ever hope for, but if anyone knows any cool user-run sites or forums about Camp Bisco, I'd love to hear about them or any trip reports/reviews Inforoo members might have written.

one thing about April that kind of frustrates me is that it's nice and all, but there's still cold days, and it's just not summer yet (even though there's plenty of tour announcements going on for summer shows). Because it's not summer, you just have to sit in anticipation for the bigger shows. That said, I'm excited that Camp Bisco has another round of artist announcements coming today, even though I'm apparently the only one on this board that care about this fest!?
A Thieve's Parade 2/24 Conspirator 2/26 Kevin Smith 3/11 Keller 3/17 Papadosio 3/18 JJ Grey 3/25 Bela Fleck/Edgar Meyer 3/26 Toubab Krewe 3/27 O'Death 4/11 Budos Band 4/22 EOTO 4/28 Summer Camp 5/6-29 All Good
I'm tempted to go if I don't end up going to Desiderata, so long as I can afford it (both money and taking time off for a new job...and hopefully not driving up alone).
If you like Bisco, you might like Desiderata too. it's in upstate NY (Mohawk), 2 weeks after Roo. My 1st and only fest was there last year.
This is really a nice lineup. I'm excited to check out RAQ after listening to their guitarist play with the biscuits for the last month. I love Holy F#ck also, so these adds continue to make me happy. I would also assume that LCD, Thievery, and tDB will not conflict at Camp Bisco like they are probably going to at Bonnaroo.
This might be the only fest I make it to this summer. Taking classes this summer in Rochester so this seems a lot more logical than Roo. Also the one band I have been waiting to see is Disco Biscuits, this seems like an obvious choice. Does anyone know when the best time to show up is? (how do they fill camping sections? can't be more random than roo)

I wasn't planning on going to this fest but the addition of Caribou alone is making me reconsider. I'm going to see him for the first time on the 12th so I guess that will be the deciding point.
Does anyone know if they ever sell single-day tickets to this? It looks like they sold "weekend" tickets last year for Fri-Sat. I don't want to pay $155 for all three days when I already know that the band I'm mostly going to see is playing on Thursday.
So, I might end up going to Bisco this year after all.
I was hanging out with one of my best friends tonight and Jay-Z came on the radio. That led to talk about Bonnaroo, which in turn led to talk about fests in general. He said he really wanted to go to one, and he's never been. So we got to talking. Nateva was too soon, AllGood was too far, Bisco... perfect.
