It says the stubhub contest has an approximate retail value of $25,000. Doesnt that mean you have to pay like $5k in taxes? It would still be pretty sweet for 5k but I don't have 7 friends that would be willing to pitch in enough to even pay the taxes.
That $25,000 would be treated as 1099 income at the end of the year. So if you should win this you go change the with holding on all of your tax forms and clean out the house for donations

Thank you!!! I hope you win too. I have only been twice in 2009 and 2010. I had to miss last year because I couldn't afford it/I was holding out for an internship that never happened. It sucks not being able to go and watching the live stream just made it worse.
