I really hope this means a new album, but if not, i wont be upset, tool is amazing live and I will do any and everythign I can to see them this summer
i read an interview with maynard just like last week and he didn't seem to think anything was going on with tool. then here comes tour dates out of nowhere. i know toolband.com has hinted that they were working on new stuff, but mjk didn't seem to know about it.

yea maynards always been a dick wen it comes to revealing any information about new material, especially with tool. rumor has it theyve been working on a new record since 2007
they are done adding dates for now i believe. top post updated. i think i'm going to pass on this one, maybe they'll come to the east coast with a new album to choose from

there are definite rumblings of the band working on a new album, but typically, everyone but Maynard works on the music and he shows up at the end and adds the vocals/lyrics. Most likely, they will not play any of this new music. Also most likely, they will play the same or a very similar setlist to the one they have been playing since 2006. (same one they played at Bonnaroo) They DID add three more shows that are not on the list above...two at Red Rocks and one in Sacramento...neither of which helps me out at all...
On a more positive note, I notice that the tour starts June 19th...the first show is in Louisiana...not TOO far from Tennessee...anyone know where I'm going here? Any chance they could be working something out? Maybe to replace the Flaming Lips? I can dream, can't I?
11/2/19: Tool 5/17/19: Blues Traveler 5/9/19: Tool 11/10/18: Tenacious D 9/20/18: White Denim 7/23/18: Radiohead 6/4/18: Jack White 5/20/18: Tool 5/18/18: A Perfect Circle 5/18/18: Alice in Chains 5/6/18: Blind Melon
Man, I've never seen a show at Red Rocks and I'd love to make it for this but just don't see how I can squeeze it in during that week. None of these dates really work for me, so here's hoping that they add some more later on. Maybe an ACL appearance?
holy f*ck did anybody see the setlist last night (first show of the tour)? they opened with third eye...also played eon blue apocalypse>the patient AND intolerance....im seein them next week at red rocks....holy shit
