Heya kids!! My name is Riki Jee…me and ma select crew for the Bonnaroo have decided to go with the new Tent City option this year. What is Tent City? Well...it’s a sizeable tent awready set up and waiting for you when you arrive…it has a floor and windows and everything a proper tent should have…and it is also complete with comfy cots and pillows and blankets…
What is so special about a Tent City tent? Well…Tent City is going to be strategically set up right next to Centeroo. Location Location Location!! Those of you who are Bonnaroo veterans KNOW that it sucks to walk that dusty road from General Camping! I always thought my throat hurt the whole weekend because my tent had mold in it or something. Nope. Figured out it was all the dust. I’ve arrived at different times each year…and it seems I have been cursed to be parked AT LEAST a 30 minute walk to Centeroo. Most won’t make that trip more than once in a day. When you are at Centeroo…you are pretty much there for the day/night before returning to camp to crash…
So…it’s $810 for a Tent City tent set up to accommodate 4 people (4 cots). And an additional $300 security deposit. That’s $1110 on my card…no problem. My crew is made up of 4 chill, down to Earth, fun, respectful, 420 friendly people…all either camp neighbors or ride board passengers assembled from all different years of my ROO attendance. So..it’s $200 each. Thing is, we were actually planning on getting 6 in that tent…reducing the cost to $135 each, but two in my crew can’t make it…sooooooo…
Basically, I’m trying to find a couple people who might be interested in taking those two spots. You would be on the hook to bring your own sleep gear…whether it was a couple cots or a comfy inflatable mattress. With six in the tent, it would pretty much be dedicated for sleep and storage of personal items…wouldn’t be much room for anything else…but at the same time, I like to have a sweet site set up, and I’ll be packing a 15’ X 15’ tarp for a nice chill out zone (complete with stakes, poles, line, etc), table, huge 120 qt cooler and a couple average sized satellite coolers, shower tent, etc. I really like to be comfortable whilst festival partying…
So that’s it in a nutshell:
GREAT TENT GREAT CREW GREAT SITE/NEIGHBORHOOD (near Centeroo, with many creature comforts!)
A Thieve's Parade 2/24 Conspirator 2/26 Kevin Smith 3/11 Keller 3/17 Papadosio 3/18 JJ Grey 3/25 Bela Fleck/Edgar Meyer 3/26 Toubab Krewe 3/27 O'Death 4/11 Budos Band 4/22 EOTO 4/28 Summer Camp 5/6-29 All Good

Well...your friend must be a HANDSOME DEVIL then...Haaaaaaa!! Just kidding! I'm a leprous wart-hog...very large...very lumpy! And hey...it's not a bad deal at all...if we can just get 2 more onboard!!
Honestly, I believe this will be a hardsell my friend. Not that you do not have good intentions and not that I do not like the idea personally...I just think that camping with virtual strangers will be a tough sell, especially since it costs 135.00! I like to camp with people I know and if you are trying to fit 6 in that tent, hope whomever you get is a very small or petite person.
Heck I am heading in with one other person and I just bought a 6 man tent because of really liking room to stretch out!
Good luck but I seriously have doubts about this mate....

If I was going to do one of these tents it would pretty much be because I wanted to sleep on one of those beds they put in there. When you are still sleeping on the ground who cares what kind of tent you are in.

Yeah...definately see your points...but...at the same time...the TENT CITY tent would be primarily for crashing...and it's not really about what kind of tent you are sleeping in...it's more about being right on top of Centeroo...without that semi-brutal trek from general camping...never know though...might be someone out there interested...
Well TENT CITY is unlikely to be any closer than TENT ONLY so I still do not see the attraction. About the only thing it would get me is loss of privacy, and not having to carry my own tent (15 pounds) to tent only. 135$ is an equal share of what it costs and like I said I do not see the benefit, but good luck I guess.
definately a good deal, these tents are huge and dont come with a table and chairs or anything else inside of it so there is plenty of space for a king size air mattress or even 2 doubles. These tents are also located much closer to the festival than the camping areas allocated for everyone else. 135 bucks is a steal to stay in these bad boys.
