Thanks dcbee. I may pick one up on my way to roo. I remember in 08 not wanting to carry my chairs, but it was too hard to sit on the ground all of the time.
I've never had a problem getting my regular old tailgating chair in. Are they technically not allowed? I see 'em all over the place.
technically, you're not supposed to bring a chair into Centeroo that's more than a foot off the ground. I imagine it's so you don't block other's sightlines.
Tell me you stand or dance for 15-20 hours, in 90+ degree heat, whilst drinking and who knows what else, and I will call you a liar sir. Chairs have an obvious and very welcome function, ESPECIALLY at Bonnaroo.

Yes, one can sit on the ground, but after a while your back will HURT. I loved my stadium chair/Crazy Creek. I have been tempted to buy a low chair, but I do not want to carry that thing around, and I do like to get up and dance a lot. But really... it's a very smart move to have some sort of back support.
hahaha I'm just messing around. I really do spend most of my days dancing and trying to get as close to the front for shows as possible, which makes bringing a chair with me pretty impossible. Last year a friend of mine did have one of those little tripod seats which was clutch for resting between sets in the crowd without taking up space. When it comes to the shows where I chill in the back I do get a bit jealous of people with chairs, but I can't stand carrying anything with me and laying in the grass works fine for me. I want to be able to explore and dance without worrying about keeping track of my stuff or lugging it around.
