So, this year's going to be my first 'Roo and I'm wicked excited!
I'm flying into Nashville from Puerto Rico, and I'm hoping on getting on the first bus to camp in the morning since I'll be taking the Red-eye and I'll be getting to the airport at dawn.
My question's this: Is where you're camping assigned to you when you enter the farm, or can you choose? Personally, I'd kill to be in Camp Only, just because it seems hella convenient.
So, does me getting to camp early help me get a good campsite, or is there still a chance that I'm going to get stuck with a 30-minute walk to Centeroo? (which I wouldn't really mind, of course, I'm still gonna make the best of my first 'Roo, but I just kinda wanna know before I get there.)
Well, it seems like since you won't have a car you will be going to tent-only. If you were driving, you would not have a choice as to where you're parked. You have a limited amount of space to choose from, but its still plenty, especially since you'll be getting in relatively early. You shouldn't have a hard time finding anywhere, and tent-only is much closer to centeroo than most other camping spots, so you will definitely not have a 30 minute walk. Look around these boards as much as you can for other information about this, because there's plenty of it on here. Hope this helps, congratulations on your first roo!
I'm flying in also, but renting a car. It turns out to be cheaper for two people then the shuttle. One thing to keep in mind is you are limited in what you can carry, so check out the 2010 Helping Hands thread. People might help you out by bringing some stuff (like bottled water) for you.
