So, it's this time again and I'm looking for the best possible experience in getting my ass to Roo! Anyway, I'm out in Queens and I need a ride for me and my friend to Roo.
Tiny bit about me (If Craigslist or the like has told me anything...be detailed otherwise things get strange)...me and my friend are both 24, easy going, and need a ride from NYC to Roo. We are flexible about date + time and am totally open to suggestions or meeting up somewhere along the line (like if you are on Long Island, we'll meet you there or a little further upstate we'll meet along there).
Anyway, I love the sense of community and hope for a positive response!

But seriously, I understand it is a month away and know that time (and life) is short but I felt I should give this a shot. The reason for the lateness was due to certain approvals that were only now granted.
So, my quandary was what if I wanted to hitch a ride with someone who agreed to take me only to dump them when things fell through.
just when you thought things were looking bleak... me and my friend are going. we're from nassau county, and i'm 18 and he's 19, so slightly younger than you dudes. we have some friends we are thinking of going with, but if this falls through he and i may need to find others to go with. he's got a 1990 volvo that'll seat four comfortably but probably not more. so it's not a definite thing, but i just wanted to let you guys know that there's a possibility.

Just a quick bump up. We are just a little over 3 weeks away and I just want to be visible/open. I'm easy to talk to and I'm flexible in regards to meeting up beforehand, payment, etc.

OK so unfortunately over the course of the weekend my friend bailed on me and now I am left driving solo from Northern New Jersey (right outside of New York City.) I'm 25 this is my second year heading down to Roo. I have spots for four more people just asking that you chip in for gas, toll and part of the car rental. I have no problem going a little out of the way to pick people up. My plan is to head down on Wednesday morning and leave Bonnaroo on Monday around noontime. I've got a group of three with me. We'll be leaving from the kingston/woodstock, ny area (about 100 miles north of the city/45 minutes south of albany) & looking to arrive early thursday morning.There seems to be a number of us from the northeast on the same mission lol. . .we've gotta be able to figure something out. . how much were you planning to spend on a rental deuceap610? and what type of vehicle?
I was planning on getting a Toyota Rav4 / Dodge Nitro kind of car, a little more room but still a little bit of fuel efficiency. Honestly, I'd prefer not to go the rental route and just chip in for gas, tolls and driving time in someone else's car but please let me know what you have in mind.
I have an Acura MDX that seats 8. It gets about 20mpg which is about $300 total in gas but if we get 5 people it will be $60 each and 8 would be $40 each. If we're all still looking for rides why don't we just take my car (I'm starting from Albany) and I can pick you guys up on the way and we'll just split gas evenly. Anybody interested reply here/email me, let's do this!
