Greetings all! Solo virgin Roo'er here in the midst of setting up the mother of all road trips for the summer. Tried getting some friends to go with, but everyone is tied down with jobs and responsibilities. The third leg of the trip is coming from a friends house in Duncan, OK to Bonnaroo. Since I'm flying solo, I'll have room for 1 in the car if anyone is looking for a ride. Not really looking for to split driving time with as I love to drive, just someone to BS with and share some good tunes and times with.
Two caveats -
1. I'm not heading back out that way once 'Roo is over. I'll be road-tripping down to the FL Keys for some beach time, so you'll have to find your own way back.
2. I drive a 2 door Saturn. With all my gear and extras in there, there won't be a ton of space. There will be enough room for a 2nd persons gear as long as you aren't insane and try to bring 3 suitcases and 2 coolers. Basically half a backseat and some trunk space. I pack like a veteran Tetris player though, so if we have to fit it...I'll find a way!
Little info - 29 y/o male, former Marine (now completely rehabilitated into a civilian ), avid backpacker. Don't let the prior military thing fool you, I'm extremely laid back. Anything goes as long as it doesn't hurt someone else. About as far from straight-edge as you can get in this country.
I'll have spare gear and backpacking equipment with me, so in case you happen to forget something, I'll probably be able to hook you up for the duration of the trip. Packing extra tent, a canopy, tarp...all that stuff.
If anyone is interested, let me know. Pretty much anywhere from Oklahoma City east is fair game and if you aren't TOO far out of the way, I'd even be willing to make a detour.
