I am looking for ideas for a utility cart to haul all of our crap from bfe to tent only. We live about an hour away and we like to come in early Thursday morning. Obviously this puts us in bfe. Last year we used the taxi's to get all of our crap there but that ended up being a headache and expensive. My boyfriend found this cart at Sears but I'm not sure that the tires are good enough for the Roo terrain. Anyone have any ideas for a cart (where to buy, how to build)? This is the cart he found: www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_12605_07180002000P?vName=Lawn+%26+Garden&cName=Outdoor+Tools+%26+Supplies&sName=View+All&sbf=Sale Thanks!!
Yeah that's the kind our neighbors had last year (and man did I envy them, we straight carried everything to Tent Only). The coolest part is that once you are done hauling stuff you can fold the walls down or take them off and you have a nice camp table!

We will be driving our CRV so fitting it in the car shouldn't be an issue, my only concern is that the wheels are not rugged enough for the trek to tent only. I'm probably going to go ahead and get it since I haven't been able to find anything else that may work. Thanks for your input!

The year we went Tent-Only we used my kids little red wagon. It worked like a charm. It too had the inflatable tires, what is what you want to navigate the Roo terrain. Don't forget to inflate the tires to recommended tire pressure. Don't over inflate. You want squishy tires on the bumpy paths.
edit- You might want to make sure it is comfortable to pull. The only problem we had was the handle was too short and one had to kinda crouch down to pull and that sucked. We were quite a ways from Tent-only. We MacGuyvered the thing and used rope to bring the tugging level up a bit.
I wish we had space for something like that in our car! I'll be using an old stroller (the frame + bungees) I got at a thrift store. Probably not the best, but it will hold my ez-up, folding chairs, and whatever else does not fit on a frame pack.

Sublime76, that won't work for shit. We used one similar last year. took FOREVER to get to tent only. We bungeed shit to it and used ratcheting straps but shit just kept falling off. Not to mention the wheels are just not made for the terrain.

Yeah I am worrying about that but the wagon things don't seem like they would work fro what I have to carry up there either. My tent cot folded up is about 3 ft by 3ft by 4 inches deep, then I have a large 5day cooler and an easy up. I am desperately searching for a solution and it is crunch time. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I don't mind making a couple trips, I could carry the tent and easy up by hand but the cooler would be almost impossible to carry up there alone.

Yeah a big cooler wouldn't work on that either. We tried and I guess it worked but took forever. It would have been faster to just drag the cooler, which I did through fakedown.

My friend was bringing our metal mesh wagon in 2008 so he could transport his crap from wherever he got parked to where we were camping and it got confiscated by the people searching for glass when you first enter since they considered it something you could ride.
