So my friend I am going with has terrible RSD and I had a bad horseback riding accident today and am on crutches. To camp in the handicap camping do we need to get handicap tags? or will my crutches be enough?

The Accessible Camping and Day Parking areas are reserved for patrons with mobility disabilities. A state-issued accessible parking license plate, placard, or hangtag is required to use these areas. No reservations are needed.
yep ...they check you when you go in and they mark your car. you can take one other car in with you to camp at your site. they route you to accessible camping.
you should try to get a temporary tag for your friend through their physician because there is no way they will want to travel from GA to centeroo with crutches. walking around centeroo will be bad enough. id also advise your friend to get more rest than they think they need during "non peak" times for them. my friend who goes with me rests pretty much all through the heat of the day and then goes out at night and stays out pretty much all night...however...he cant take heat. your friend might consider when they will want to be out the most and take some breaks in between.

yea, I'm the one on crutches she has RSD which is a joint condition. Her knees and ankles will kill with to much walking, so she's gonna try to talk to her doc about a pass. I asked when I was in the Hosp yesterday and the doc flat out said no because I'll be off the crutches in 4-6 weeks depending on my my body heals.

^^^Don't try to do it without a tag. Your friend can ask and if needed any doctor you see can write what you need for a tag. Fortunately I have a doctor who goes to Jazzfest and understands all the walking. If it doesn't work out int he next couple of weeks let me know as we may have friends who are bailing out and you could possibly be our "companion vehicle"
