Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
First let me give an enormous thank you to all of you for providing me with so much useful info (and a dangerous amount of procrastination material during finals week....as if i needed more) so far. I've been browsing around here for a few months now and finally decided enough with that lurking business, it's time to suck it up and register. But seriously, I can't tell you how many times during planning or general Roo-related discussions I've said "Well, I read on Inforoo..." Thanks to all you wonderful folks, I feel quite well prepared and pumped to spend 4 amazing days with 80,000 awesome people. I feel I've done enough lurking that I almost know you guys (whoa creepster, haha) and can't wait to meet some of you in person, I'll be sure to stop by Camp Inforoo and say hi .
I'm heading down to the Roo with two of my very good friends, all of us first-time Rooers and VERY excited. We'll be driving down from Buffalo, NY, so it's a bit of a trek, to say the least. Our plan is to leave extreeemely early Wednesday morning (around 3AM). We'll be stopping in Cleveland for some breakfast and urban exploring (we dig abandoned buildings and the adventures they can become), but will otherwise be driving straight through to Nashville, taking as scenic a route as possible (psyched to drive through some southern states I've never been to). We'll crash in the car likely and rise bright and early, hoping to get to Roo sometime Thursday morning around 8-9 AM (a good arrival time?).
So here's my question. I think I've convinced by one friend who felt otherwise that Tent Only is the way to go but it's still a little bit up to debate. First of all, if you're in Tent Only, you'll pretty much definitely be closer to the action, yes? (with the flip-side of course being you have to lug all your crap.) Is BFE only with your car or are there Tent Only areas there too? Also, it's not possible to like, find out when you come in where you'd be if you did Tent Only, and where'd you'd be placed if did with your car, and then decide, right?
We also have a few questions about keeping "hydrated" at the Roo when you are still over a year from your 21st birthday, and how things work with bringing certain refreshments in/purchasing them there, and I'm sure those questions could be better answered in a PM by an experienced Rooer if someone wouldn't mind.
I'm sure I'll be bugging you guys with more questions and I'll see you sooner than I can even believe! Thanks for everything!

Pretty much right on all counts! and yes BFE is a car area.

Seriously- go tent only. I'm doing VIP for the second time-- but IF I was doing G.A. again, I'd go tent only. Trust me. You'll thank us later (better yet, thank us with a swig of that drink!).
Hydration: you can pretty much buy anything in Centeroo with no carding, unless you look 6. And of course, from those of us outside of Centeroo, you'll find no carding.
I would say plan for tent-only, but with that arrival time it may work out that your car spot is just as good. Just keep your fingers crossed as you enter Coffee County!
Im just going to warn you. Last year I was like "yeah lets do teent only it'll be way easy". It was my first Roo and once we got there there was just this mad dash to grab space and I had NO IDEA where the tent only area even was so I just camped next to the car. It turned out to be not really a big deal though, I liked being near my car and the walk was long but not to bad (camp Dr. Raymond Stanz). as far as "beverages" go dont even worry about it at all... I hope you have a lot of fun at your first Roo. One last thing; I would highly recomend not drinking or "anything else" before the sun is starting to go down....

^I've given up, I was careening towards full-on addict status even BEFORE I registered, now that I can actually post, and with the roo mere days away, it's over. Luckilly my waitressing job keeps me far away from a computer for most of the day, but my internship at an online mag is a different story. Must....resist.....!!!
Thanks for all the welcoming well-wishes everyone, a great roo to you all!
welcome, nice to hear that some fellow buffalonians will be heading down.
yessss! fellow buffalonians in any place is always good news. apparently there's a myspace group dedicated to bringing fellow b-lo-ers together at roo? im not on myspace, but someone pointed it out to me, might be cool to check it out.

The tent-only section is just that, no cars will be parked in this area, and there is not a specific parking area for it. You will not be allowed to drive to and drop anything off in the tent-only section either.
Even if you are definitely doing tent-only, you will still be parked wherever they direct you to park. If you get parked close enough, you won't need to hike to tent-only. But if you get stuck in one of the BFEs, you would absolutely want to hike to tent-only. Even with a huge amount of stuff, you can most likely do it in two trips, because there are inforooers that I'm sure will let you borrow their cart when they are finished (though there may be a line for that ).
There are no "official" tent-only sections in BFE, but some move their tents closer to the woods out there I've heard.
