So, these are the conflicts that are making me sad,
Kaskade/DeadMau5/Disco Biscuits all over lap each other
The Flaming Lips and Crystal Method run into each other, obviously I will NOT miss the Lips.
Tenacious D/Les Claypool run into each other
They Might be Giants and Ween also run into each other.
Now my question is some of these shows only run 30 mins into each other, how hard is it to get from one show to another maybe leaving one a little early to get to the next? Since this is my first 'Roo I'm just trying to get all my ducks before I get there.

I would suggest sticking with full sets. If you leave you could miss something great. Also if you want to see each set equally I would suggest going with the tent set or the rarer act. That's the best advice I can give.

I was gonna include this and didn't. I agree with wolf. Last year, I tried to see everything. You miss out on the artist-crowd interface when you jump around. I already have a few shows I'm content to miss. Think about that too.

Yea I'm going to Camp Bisco this year as well, so missing Dieselboy and Ween won't be a big deal since I'll see them a month later anyway, same with The Disco Biscuits.
Seeing as how there are only about 5 electronic acts i find it mindblowing that these idiots cant manage to fit them in without conflicting. oh well, not like i expected them to not be retards again this year.

Awwwww, I am guessing you will survive. They do it on purpose so that no one tent gets to crowded.

I'm REALLY torn between USA Vs England and Circa Survive on Saturday afternoon. I was in the crowd outside the tent for USA Vs Italy in 2006, and it was like a European soccer atmosphere out there. It was one of the most amazing things I've seen in the US when it comes to soccer. I can't miss this game, but I also can't miss Circa.

Well, I just settled my own gripe by looking through the schedule again. Circa are playing an acoustic set from 7-7:30 on Saturday night. I'd really enjoy an intimate acoustic performance from those cats. Then the next time they play Detroit, I'll have to get my ass there. Hooray for second sets! I'm so happy right now. ;D

and what are you talking about? This is the first year that they have even had more than two electronic artists at all, much less have them on at the same time. When Oakenfold or sasha and digweed were playing they were the only electronic acts playing and it wasnt too crowded at all!
The thing that doesnt make sense is that while KOL is playing there is no one else playing, Then after their lead singer gets finished crying, then there are four great acts on at the same time. Does KOL really need to be the loudest band for two hours? I mean they are ok but they are an MTV band. I dont really care to much im glad to see these artists but this kind of thing can be avoided

Your aware that KoL is a headliner right?
Of course but why do they have to shut everything else down while the headliners are playing? I've been to other music festivals where main stage headliners were playing at the same time as all the other stages, all confined to a smaller space so the sound shouldn't be an issue. Also isn't Jay Z a headliner because he is sharing the roo with three other artists it appears.
I just cant believe they are going to make you choose between the Flaming lips, Bassnectar and Daryl Hall and Chromeo. Thats insane!!!

Jay-Z isn't a "headliner" per-se. I haven't been since '07, but the last few years, they've done huge acts billed as Late Night Headliners. I believe that would be the case with Jay-Z. Not 100% certain on that, though.
Multi stage festivals are the worst, sometimes. The more artist you have that you wanna see the more conflicts your gonna have.
Jay Z isnt a headliner this year. He's a special late night set. 4th on the bill and opposed. Top 3 are the headliners. There is at least one band playing while KoL is. Bakerton Group at the cafe.

Agreed. If you have a really bad conflict, you can split it up in half, but anything less than that is just a waste and won't stick out in your mind. I learned that the hard way my first year, during Friday late night. Also, it's a lot harder to immerse yourself in a show when you're constantly worrying about what you're missing.

I am going to nap until halfway through Bassnectar, then try and get a good LCD Soundsystem spot personally. My conflict is LCD, Galactic, Crystal Method.
As to being the complaint Nazi, yes I find people calling others retarded obnoxious especially when it was their first post hence the picture of the worlds smallest violin.

The Bakerton Group (which is basically an instrumental Clutch) is playing from 10-11 on the Solar Stage opposite KOL. I was looking for an excuse to miss KOL, and, I promise you, Bakerton will be worth the time.

Wolfman's my hero...and his little violin can make a lion cry! The confllicts do suck... especially for all you hardcore fans. HOWEVER, whatever AWESOME act I'm at and regardless of who or what its conflicting with, I'm just completely stoked and psyched to actually be there.. HOLY CRAP ITS SO CLOSE MY BRAIN IS MELTING!!!

Here's an idea - if you don't like it, don't go. Then you don't have to complain, call other people names, and make yourself look immature.
Also, Neil Young says that the schedule cannot break your heart -

Indirectly calling a group of people retarded is hardly calling names like a child, come on. Stop blowing things out of proportion. Like i said this wont have an effect on how i behave once im at the roo, but if theres any sort of place for dissent this would be it Amarite? repeat after me... its okay to question the bad judgement of others..
