First let me say - OH FUCK YEEEAAAHHH!!! - I'm so so so amped for this!!
I've never been to Roo though I have been to one camp fest called Echo Project held in GA back on '07, so I kind of get it but not on this massive of a scale. We tented for that one.
The only way I could convince my old lady and a couple of friends to make the trip was to offer the amenities of an RV, i.e shower and power. However, I thought I read somewhere that their is no power hookup. What would the point of hassling with an RV rental and paying for an RV pass if that were the case? Is that accurate, no power?

First, welcome to the message board. Yes that is correct there are no hookups. There is not much of a hassle, you use your generator and all of your onboard holding tanks. You might want to read this: Gene's FAQ On Bringing a RV to Bonnaroo Another link
Some questions for you: Are you renting or do you own the RV? Does it have a generator? Did you buy a RV pass?
the Generator is KEY! We have gone RV camper the last three years, and it was definitely worth the extra expense and hassle. We would have to haul the camper and the generator. If you rent an RV usually they come with a generator built in. I do caution you if you leave the awning out, you may want to roll it up when you are not in camp...we saw several awnings ripped and twisted in the Monsoon that came at us on day one. Then we had some heavy rains and our awning started to buckle due to the water weight.
Also, there is quite a group of us Inforoosters trying to start up a big RV Camp Inforoo

As my Inebriated buddy walks out of the Porto, he yells out, "Dude...I love this place...bonnaroo thinks about everything...they even put beer holders next to the toilet!"
Had to break it to him that that was the urnal. Good times good times!
As far as the awning issue when it rains, try to have one side of the awning lower then the other. This will cause the rain to run off instead of pooling.
congrats! wasnt echo cool.. heres hoping they come back this year. i agree with the above advice. id bring some extra outdoor shade if youdont think you wil have enough. you will likely want to sit outside and visit some of the time.

Thanks for the responces! Bug, thank you for those links, and yeah were renting it and already have our RV and companion vehicle passes, it's too late to back down now.
The RV is a rental and it does have a generator, however there is a $3 per hour service charge to use it....bastards. There is the option of renting a genrator, but I'm kind of leaning against it since the only time we'll use it is when were actually at our camp spot, and I don't know if it's use will justify the cost of the rental.. I understand it's actually kind of cool at night so we don't need to run the AC after sundown.
Ahhh, Belltwalla1, indeed Echo was truly awesome. I'm really really hoping they do it again, since I only live 15 +\- miles away from where it's held.
The rental companies are not really bastards, just looking to make money like you and I
Sarcasm and the internet! I know, and really $3 an hour isn't horrible. Not to mention I can walk to the RV place, which is super sweet. We can return monday, park it, and just walk back home.
Few questions....how close is the RV parking to the entrance of centeroo..?? AND...what is the best way to put a flagg wayyy up in the air from an RV? giant thin wooden pole..?? Please give me some tips!
$3 an hour won't "feel" so bad when it's hot & humid!! We have the same issue... I budgeted 10 hours per day and we're splitting that 4 ways. The water fill-up and tank clean out at $100/per will even be a small price to pay, especially toward the end!!

There are several RV sections, it will depend on where they park you. Here is a 2007 map, you will see the RV sections in light green.
Flag pole? Do a search on "Flag Pole" here for the past 90 days, there is several threads on that. What scares me is you want to put a flag "wayyy up" on a "giant thin ???" wooden pole.
We used a flag once our first year. It really was not necessary to locate our camper, so we never brought it again.
