I was afraid of getting lost last year but after the first day it was fine. 7th and 2nd, right along the street. Look for the Canadian flag, and there we are with the lopsided canopy

I don't think I've seen it mentioned in this thread, but something that a Roo-bie might not realize is that the POD balloons are numbered, different colors, and light up at night. As previously stated, the POD numbers and balloons are on the map they give you when entering. Although I did notice some discrepancies in the map last year. Basically just pull into your spot, set up quickly, chill for a bit, and look all around for flags/landmarks/POD balloons etc.
I would agree with most of this thread. Landmarks and street signs sure helped. Also since SO many people bring balloons and flags and what, I just use the things around me to guide me home. If you take a minute when you get set up to get your bearings you should be fine.

You can try marking it on the map they give you at the entrance, then take a picture of the marked map (just in case you lose that map). Take pictures of the landmarks/balloon/streetsigns (just in case you forget).

The tree lines always helped me the most.
Oh yea, try not to lose the camera/phone.
You can lose the phone, as long as you've taken a polaroid of the picture that's on your phone.

If you have an iPhone you can use one of the car parking apps that logs your coordinates, they have a couple of free ones that work fine. I'm sure there is something similar for the Android stuff as well.

Here's what's worked best for me the last few years. 1. Find a token rookie from your group or your new neighbor friends. 2. Get the token rookie to wander around with you until you think he/she is nice and lost. 3. Pretend to be lost, and get the token rookie to find the way back.
Pow! Now you and a rookie won't stress about finding camp when you've got other things on your mind.

Less than 2 weeks! BONNAROOOOOOOO!
This is easily the best advice. Just do this. Or don't and get lost. You can hang out at my camp if you stumble by scared and confused...

I think I may be more scared and confused after that than before. But I may track you down, just to see if I'm right. ;D
Does anyone remember the giant floating purple octopus?
Hell yes I remember!!!! Walked past that many a time --- many roos ago. I think that was when there were those water troughs around --- and the bouncy ground.
