our car def was not torn apart. Some people like to exaggerate or had a real crap gate person. I think im going to go with exaggerate though. haha. Yeah they prob search your car more so than if you were to go in thursday but whatever. It was a basic 1 2 3 your in.
Dude it was NUTS in 08. There was a cargo van and an SUV in front of us and they pulled everything out of both of them, opened up all the bags, dug through all the coolers, took stuff off the roof racks. It was NUTS! And the whole time they were going "Yep, smell that, smells like some reefer."
I felt my jerkstore clinch up when I pulled up to the gate even though I didn't have anything to hide, but they didn't even search my car and they just looked in my friends cooler (He was riding in a pickup truck behind us). So it's luck of the draw, really. But do know there is a great chance they will search the ever living Leno out of you.
Oh and the cops are there on wednesday night too.
What time was this? Our group's search Wed. night '08 at about midnight consisted of:
"First Roo?" "Nope" "Got any Glass?" "Nope" "Ok then. Have a good weekend!"
Last year we went at about 10:30 Wednesday night and ended up leaving a loaded corn cob holder sitting on the seat. All they said was, "Sorry guys, we're gonna have to take this." They then asked if we had anything else on us, we said no, and they waved us through.
But, to answer the OP, Wednesday night is the tits. It's a raging party while everyone is setting up; and, as someone said earlier, it gives you much more time to wander centeroo on Thursday.
