IDK about OH or KY, but TN has high sales and excise taxes, since even the phrase "income tax" is tantamount to heresy here. Someone else from out of state might be more helpful, but things tend to be more expensive in TN. I would purchase anything I needed out-of-state unless it's something you absolutely had to wait to get.

Beer should def be bought in KY. Cigarettes are $5.00 in KY for namebrands. If coming through Owensboro, there is a super cheap liquor store on South Frederica St. It's called "The Liquor Store". It's the only place I buy beer!!

They are just now starting to introduce the "true" case of beer (30 cans) here in TN. Living down here all my life all I've ever known as a case was 24. But they are few and far between and only in the cheap beers.
You Americans have no idea how cheap booze and cigarettes are there. Here in Canada, a pack of cheap cigarets is 8 bucks, and the good ones are upwards of 11. A case of good beer will cost you around 40 bucks and the cheapest case of beer you can get is 26.
Emoney serves more of a purpose than any of you, especially Nate, whose incessant, garbled ramblings are so mindless and pointless that I get depressed just seeing them.

If you buy in Tennessee, choose your store carefully. Interstate exit gas stations are clip joints. Get off the highway a mile or two and go to a Wal-Mart or a standard-issue franchise grocery and prices will start approaching a reasonable level.

As of right now the Mapcos have 18 packs of PBR for 11.99. It is the best deal in town, however if you want anything else listen to this man. If you are driving through Nashville stop at Midtown it is right off the interstate on church street as you pass through downtown.

keep in mind that each state has restrictions on the amount of alcohol. a bud light in one state can be completely different from a bud light in another state.

Ok so I am coming up from Savannah Ga, this will be my first Roo and I am about one month short of being 21 by the festival start. Will there be any issues with me bringing my own alcohol (like the security search when entering, or should I wait and just buy it there on my fakey.

Are the interstate cops as ruff as some of the stories I have heard? Oh and do they have dogs going up and down the lines of cars? I would think it would kill the loccal economy to be too tuff on the rooers

If you get caught with alcohol in a car and no 21 year olds it will go really really badly for you. Like pretty much mini dui bad from what I have heard.

Most likely I will be getting Fat Tire and Shiner in cans, but it seems like beer is more expensive here. The cheapest you can find a 24 pack of bud light is around $20-22. 12 packs are usually $11.
I think a 12 pack of fat tire in cans is about $15. Can't go wrong there. I will be buying as much Sweetwater as I can afford on the way home, Bonnaroo is my only chance to drink it or buy it all year and I love it.
I have tried over a dozen different kinds of shiner though.
