I have the same question. You would think they'd at least give us some extra space between cars when parking us since some people may have wheelchairs/crutches/walkers, etc...
yea you would think so, I'm gonna be the one driving in so I'm deff gonna turn wide. We've got 2 tents and a ez up so we will need the space, and there's no getting around the 2 tents, I'm not sharing a tent with my married friends....that would be awkward.

So you're saying, that the Bonnaroo organizers are so not green and environmentally savvy and so not into saving gas and into carpooling, that if you do ride together say six or eight people, in order to save gas and pollution, they only allocate you one tent space per vehicle? Which leave six people in one tent? Very not environmentally friendly. I protest. We were planning to ride together in our van, all eight of us. UNLIKE.

I have an ez-up I'm borrowing from a friend, and a 16x9 tent. I don't mind everyone sleeping in the tent, as it is big enough for all of us and then some. How am I supposed to pitch that without taking up too much space? I'm renting a mid-sized SUV just for the trip, since I have a Honda Accord which clearly doesn't have enough room to haul my stuff. I hope to talk to my neighbors and share space as has been suggested...But I'm afraid I'll get there and then I won't be able to have enough room. I mean, they have to let me put it up if it's my only shelter, right??

Well no, they don't HAVE to let you put it up if it is bigger than the space you are supposed to have, for instance if you brought a 50 by 50 circus tent it wouldn't make any difference that it is your only shelter, it wouldn't fly. However, I doubt you'll have any problems. Talk to your neighbors and work something out if you have to, but no one is actually going to come over and say "Hey! As an official Bonnaroo representative, I order you to take that tent down!"

So you're saying that these folks who are standing out in the blazing heat all day dealing with DBs and nice people alike, and trying to accommodate 80,000 folks should stop and count how many people are in a car and adjust their space accordingly.
I mean, I agree with you, but you have to be realistic about the situation.
That being said, in '07 there were 4 of us in one car. We had a pretty tight space, but still fit 2 tents and a 10x10 EZ Up.
Don't forget that for every person with an over-sized tent or two, there are solo Rooers with small tents whom you might be parked next to. I've never seen anyone care if you're invading space that is technically theirs. Heck, I welcomed my neighbors setting up a large canopy, since I didn't bring one and was happy to have shelter from the sun.
edit: Oh, and you might get lucky and park next to someone who heads to tent only, so you can take all of their space too.
The First yr we went we had a huge area and was nice. The second yr we Rvd it and we had like a huge front yard and was nice!! This yr we are tenting again so we will see
