New to Bonnaroo. Let's say, hypothetically, that someone has to leave Saturday afternoon and they're buried deep in the sea of cars and tents. How do they get out? Aren't most cars blocked by other cars and tents? How do you get to the paths/roads without running over someone's tent?
Related question: How long does it take to get out Sunday night? How about Monday morning?
1) If you have to leave Saturday, I would consider day parking.
2) Sunday night, the campgrounds begin clearing out during the headliner. Some early communication with your neighbors may ease this exit. Lines to get out tend to be shorter.
3) Monday morning is the mass exodus. I've personally never had trouble getting out Monday in a timely fashion, but I've had friends who have had to wait a hot minute. Depends on where you are camped and how Interstate traffic\Highway Patrol is that morning.
Alternately, I've known people who talked to the parking people and explained their situation of needing to leave early and they made sure that they parked on the end of a row so they could get out early. So, it might help to ask. Otherwise, I'd say day park / tent only would be your best option. Spaces tend to open up Sunday afternoon enough to let most people get out if they need to, but even that is iffy.
