We're leaving from Athens on Thursday after work. Anyone else pulling out bout that time? I am wondering if it would be worth it to save ourselves Atlanta traffic and go up Hwy 129 towards Gainesville and cut over to 75 that way. (through ellijay and chatsworth I think) Last Roo we went to, we hit Atlanta thursday bout 6 or 7 and the traffic was still crappy. Has anyone tried this route before? Google shows this route to only take 15 minutes longer than the interstate route through ATL.
