Here is the scenario:
My brother lives about 45 minutes away from Bonnaroo. I am driving down from Connecticut Wednesday and as i rarely get to see him or my nephew/sister in law and he cant come to the show he is going to pick me up Thursday evening to bring me back to his place for a home cooked meal (and a hot shower).
I know the traffic is supposed to be horrible but i was wondering if anyone knew how he could pick me up without getting stuck in any of that traffic? I can walk a few miles (upwards of 10 if needed) in order to avoid him being stuck for hours but i just dont know where to go or where to send him.

I may not have the best answer here because I have only been twice and am directionally retarded but all of the traffic is on the shoulder of the road. I imagine you could just walk out the main entrance and walk a little north(?) of it and there wouldn't be any traffic at all besides the normal variety.
In 2008 on Thursday, I parked in this neighborhood just west of the Roo on Walnut Lane and walked in to avoid the traffic, since I was staying with family who live in Manchester instead of camping. Anyway, if you were to walk out to the same point, your brother should be able to pretty easily pick you up and drive out of the neighborhood back onto Hillsboro Blvd. and leave Manchester by the route of your choosing. It's a little less than a mile from the gates. You should avoid most traffic if you walk out that way.
I made a map for you from the Bushy Branch gate to the road I was talking about. You take the first left out of the gates, then go across a little bridge over the interstate and into the neighborhood.
