The odds are you in your favor.
Think about the amount of Bonnaroo traffic that will be rolling towards Manchester + all the normal traffic.
We outnumber them 10,000 to 1.
The chances of you getting pulled over for a minor violation like failing to yield are MINIMAL. Don't make their job easier by advertising where you are going, speeding, swerving, being an idiot, etc.
There are people who get fortunes worth of stuff into Bonnaroo. Don't be the idiot who gets busted for your two nugs and underage beer by being careless.
on I-40 around Cookeville, TN, or anywhere in Putnam County, they will pull you over for doing 1mph over the speed limit, and they find a way to illegally search you.
The problem is worse on highway 111 toward Manchester. If anyone is taking 111 from the Algood exit - don't speed while you're between Cookeville and White County - you really will get pulled over.

Someone sped past us last year waving a piece of paper that said BONNAROOO!?!! About an hour later we found them pulled over by highway patrol. It's very very true, do not write anything or even tape anything to your windows. I have a magnet of a peace sign on the side of my car. Someone said that it was going to get me pulled over.. I disagreed and left it on. I obeyed the speed limit and stayed on the right lane unless I was passing. Never had any problems. I don't know about other states but in Oklahoma it's illegal to just stay in the left lane. If a cop finds you driving(even if your obeying the speed limit) on the left lane and not passing anyone they'll give you a ticket. Everyone speaking of cruise control makes me so jealous.

This is true in TN also, but it's rare.... I would just stay in the right lane. And follow everyone's advice and don't do anything that will make you stand out to the cops.
Fyi: coming in on 75 south and we are seeing TONS of cops since crossing into tenn. Staying around 5 mph over the limit and no problems. Just be safe and smart.
I've been pulled over 9 times in my 8 years of driving, never once been given a ticket. Don't let the passengers in your vehicle speak unless they ask them something, use respect, don't act nervous and most the time you'll be fine. Speed limits are to be followed.
Were you speeding when you were pulled over those 9 times? or were you just randomly pulled over for no reason.
