Ok, so I'm pretty new to this forum, and I've not really ever used one. Can someone explain what the 'awesome points' are, and how one gains/loses them? I had 1 awesome point...then it was gone. haha...not sure what that's all about. Thanks for any answers...

Everybody can click the buttons (currently Coco/Leno) to either give someone a point or take one away - up to once an hour. Basically if you do something that someone finds awesome they may click Coco and your score will go up by one, if you annoy someone they might click Leno and your score will go down by one. But don't worry too much about it - we all lose points from time to time for no good reason because there's always gonna be someone who just doesn't agree with you and Lenos you for that reason.
^^maybe it is because people are too quick to be negative instead of giving someone the benefit of the doubt...like they are new, haven't spent a lot of time on the message boards, haven't figured out all the places to look - they ask a simple question and people jump down their throat. Talk about karma...
From what I've figured out, people like to react out of emotion. They will Leno somebody because it makes them feel bad or it disagrees with their view of the world. Very few people, but there are some, that take things with a level head. Jay and Silent Bob said it best about the internet.

You can also disable and bring back your points at anytime as well. I had mine off for awhile last year but put them back on after being off a few months.

I don't know why but I seem to be collecting a lot of leno and every time I see another leno on my profile it makes me feel horrible. I am not aware of anything that I have said on these forums to upset anyone. It just seems that every time I post I get leno. It makes me afraid to post some times. I've tried to be helpful on the forums providing links and sharing in the excitement of Bonnaroo but the negative karma just gets me down.

First off.....don't feel horrible. There's always the option to turn it off and to be honest.....it's easier if you don't even pay attention to that. In the end it's pretty meaningless.
I just saw your posts and there's honestly nothing wrong with what you've been posting. I'm guessing that maybe you got a few negatives from people after this post:
I know this is really cliche but "Those that care don't matter, and those that matter don't care".
maybe because people disagreed or found it cheesy or something.
Either way, just keep posting like you are and stay active and you'll be fine. Don't let the "karma" thing really get to you.

One sure fire way to get Leno (Monday) is to complain about your karma. Treat it like Fight Club.......don't talk about it.

Friday for you...and welcome to the board! I rarely post as well, however I spend hours on here reading/lurking/learning...
We're all a mess of paradoxes. Believing in things we know can't be true. We walk around carrying feelings too complicated and contradictory to express. But when it all becomes too big, and words aren't enough to help get it all out, there's always music.
