My crew has made last minute plans to meet multiple groups coming from Nashville, New Jersey, and West Virginia. We plan on leaving early Thursday morning from Asheville but we are unfamiliar with the area around Manchester and would like to find a nice place to meet before getting in line at the entrance.
I am leaving at 2am thursday morning...I think our paths collide in the knoxville area if your interested in following down. Oh and the Wal-mart in Manchester would be your best bet.
I would recommend the Wal Mart in Monteagle its about 20 miles south of the interstate exit for the farm. There's gas stations, wally world, and even a Goodwill store. Besides on Thursday if you meet in Manchester they will direct you around to Bushy Branch Road increasing your chances of getting stuck in BFE.
