Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
the fact that every single shade spot you see has eight million people crowded underneath it, shows a need for more. also, being underneath a packed tent may provide shade, but that doesn't mean the temp will go down that much when you are shoved up against a bunch of sweaty people.
I have to agree here. 100%. Finding shade is almost impossible after Thursday. The trees are crowded. The air conditioned areas are packed, with lines a mile long. Every ounce of shade is inhabited by 500 bodies. And while the tents are nice, I found that they were even packed. I got lucky one time and was able to get a break from the sun under That Tent, but the heat generated from all of those bodies in such close proximity really did very little to relieve the overheating issues.

I passed out on Thursday and got IV fluids in the medical tent!!! On Sunday, I fled Centeroo and spent the afternoon taking ice cold showers and wearing frozen water bottles while listening to my brain actually sizzle and pop like static on an AM radio! I'm sure I would have dropped from heatstroke without doing these things. So yeah, with the heat and humidity it felt like the fest was being held on top of a giant pot of boiling water and we were all literally cooking to death!!! Fun! Next year I'm bringing an ice suit or something!
It was hotter than satan's ballsack! It was pretty rough. I came home to the usual 90° and intense humidity, with no A/C and it felt nice, hah! Sadly I missed a couple shows because I just couldn't take the heat. I felt like such a whiny little girl, but I just couldn't help it. I really thought I was going to pass out during John Fogerty, that was sorta miserable actually. I would say the heat did hinder my experience some, but I still had a freakin' amazing time!!!
Definitely the hottest of the last 3 years that I've been to. I don't mind the heat, but as others have said, by Sunday I was done. Thursday - Saturday we pushed through and got in early for all our shows and made due with the heat. Sunday, we had no choice but to stay in whatever shade we had at our site. We were just so worn down and tired having stayed til the end of the Bisco show. Sadly, missed the majority of shows on Sunday, but we were able to hear a couple from our site.

I'm glad I powered through and saw almost every show I wanted to... The only one I'm bummed about was having to walk away from John Fogerty after only 4 or 5 songs. Just couldn't take it. The only time I felt like I was going to pass out was after the 45 minute walk into centeroo from our campsite on Sunday. Thanks, BFE! I sat down under the first shade I saw, drank some water, and felt OK the rest of the day thanks to the fountain. I will second all the posts I saw saying we need more water stations (and ones that work) in Centeroo. I hope the tragedy that happened early Sunday morning might open up some eyes.

I saw way too many girls with runny make up - babes just leave it alone go fresh - it was soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo hot everytime I put sunscreen on it just seemed to melt right off.
why would any girl bother with makeup at all on a weekend like this? I never have understood why some girls insist on wearing makeup to places like festies, the beach, etc. I guess I'm just not frou-frou enough.
I wasn't prepared for the heat, and that sun. I prayed for rain and cloud cover, and it just would not come.
In Centeroo, I'd suck my Camelback dry, then look around at the line to the water trough: in direct sunlight. The line to buy water: in direct sunlight. The sponsored tents: lines in direct sunlight. Trees: surrounded by people, with no room to sit.
The heat was a total bummer.
Sunday morning I spent in the Cinema Tent, then back at camp where I bought bags of ice and put them all over my body. Pure bliss.

Wearing a pith helmet with a heat-wicking helmet liner really did make a difference. I kept the helmet soaked all weekend and sometimes put ice between the helmet and liner, so I was actually cold for a little while after I did that.

Ya I don't understand that either... I do put eyeliner on, and during late night I put some shimmery eye shadow on, but nothing else, it's just pointless.
