Is it just me, or did anyone else notice much more tent robberies and theft at Bonnaroo this year? Someone told me they fell asleep at a show and there bag was gone when they woke up. One of our neighbors' tent was robbed while they were at a show. A girl out of my group told us that she knows two young blond cheerleader-types that come back from Roo every year with tons of laptops, cameras, etc. that they steal from people's tents. Where's the love and peace anymore??

Robberies have happened every year since the beginning. I don't think there's any real way to gauge an increase or not. If one person and campers near them got things robbed then that person will assume that the amount of robberies went up, while if that same person is in a camping section that witnesses NO robberies then they will think the number of robberies went down.
If you leave your lap tops and cameras and valuables in your tent.......you're running the risk of getting them stolen. Lock them up in your car. If it get's stolen out of your locked car.....then you were unlucky.
My girlfriend's purse got stolen while we were changing in the tent five feet away. That takes some balls to do that.
Yea that sucks big time. I don't understand some people. Personally, I feel weird about taking a water or beer from someone's cooler if they're not around......couldn't imagine thieving stuff that actually matters to people.

A girl from our group had her purse stolen during Stevie which was probably the only time all weekend that someone wasn't at our camp. Because of that she had to pay a lot of money to get her H3 towed to the Hummer dealership in Nashville to get a key made.
Then Sunday morning I was the only one awake kinda dozing under one of our ezups when a guy and his friend came by. One guy started trying to take down our Budwiser Bonnaroo banner from the front of the first ezup. He turned to his friend and said "do you have a knife or scissors or something". I sat straight up and said "what the fuck are you doing?" He said "Oh, sorry" and walked off. What a dick!
We can never seem to make it through a Bonnaroo without something coming up stolen.

I went to the showers and I dropped my dirty clothes on the ground. When I picked them up to leave I noticed I dropped them on muddy nasty back water so I hung them outside our tent to dry the next time I noticed: THEY ARE GONE! I also witnesses a good amount of people without wristbands - I had a good talk with one she gave me some good u know

On Sunday night after Phoenix my friend, my fiance, and I walked back to the camp to start packing things up. When we got back to our campsite, a light came on in our neighbors' tent. We thought it was them so we didn't think anything of it. All of a sudden this male voice comes from inside the tent (our neighbors in that tent were 2 girls) and starts going, "Who is that!? Who it that!?" and this cracked out guy with a backpack literally busts through the side of their tent, and takes off into the night yelling, "F*ck this sh*t" over and over again. Needless to say it scared the crap out of us! Our neighbors came back a few minutes later and we told them what happened. Luckily we scared the guy off before he had a chance to really take anything because they said nothing was missing but some birth control pills. It just really sucks that their tent was ruined. They did have other people there with them so at least they had a place to sleep that night! We immediately packed up our stuff in the car and left.
this was my first roo and i met some of the nicest people.but i heard some stories about things getting stolen.and after the flaming lips show i saw a dude scanning the ground in front of the stage with a flash light i asked him if he need some help finding something and he said"no im just looking for expensive shit" i hope karma catches up with these people

had a lot of vendors wander thru and at my site and thought SOMETHING would end up missing......I was gladly wrong.....and sum what suprised....People were pretty respectful.....
my friend passed out under our ezup on sunday about 6pm. i passed out in the tent. when we woke up at 830pm he noticed his backpack which was right next to him on the ground under the ez up where he was sleeping was gone. ALONG with the inflatable monkey we had attached to it. maybe the monkey came alive and walked off...who knows. All i know is we want our monkey back! we miss you!
