D'oh! (slaps forehead) Wrong forum...but I'm a BoSox fan and became one when Pedro pitched. Love the dominant pitchers, especially the past year. Did anybody ever see Ubaldo Jimenez pitch or Josh Johnson or Cliff Lee? Was anybody there for Halladay's game or Lincecum? What about that 14 strikeout game that Mitch Kramer pitched against the Braves? Imagine that, a 5'11 175 pounder with semi-long hair striking out 14 batters in a PLAYOFF game! OMG Can't believe it!!!!!
Huge. Fuck yeah, I remember that. Do you remember when Mark Bellhorn (the MADDENING Mark Bellhorn) hit a homer to the opposite field and they called it a double, but then reversed it? This was the same game as the overturned A-Rod slap-double.
On a side note, I LOVED MARK BELLHORN. Always fought for him. Seriously.
I have a Johnny Damon autographed ball from middle school that I gave away after the fiasco. I remember the scene very distinctly of when I found out. Watching Sportscenter in homeroom. Couldn't believe it. Still can't.

Dude...it made no sense...Seemed like there was no justice in the world. He was OUR hero. The grand slam against Javy Vazquez...You earn my ultimate respect for giving that ball away. Cocos for life, sir, and let the Adrian Gonzalez era begin ;D
I could and would talk endlessly about the 2004 Red Sox, BTW, but don't want to derail the thread further. It's honestly a pretty emotional thing for me. It brought me and my dad closer together, for sure. We watched all 176 games together that year. Every single one. It totally transcended sports. Nothing in sports can or ever will top that 2004 Red Sox team for me.
I don't usually root for violence, but this was one of my absolute favorite moments as a Red Sox fan. I DETESTED A-Rod. Still do. This was the same game Billy Mueller hit a walk-off three-run home run against Mo, too. I had a drink with my dad for the first time in my life to celebrate this game (16 years old, almost 17, in case you're wondering).[/quote
