I hope not. The most recent batch of showswere reported as being total trainwrecks.
Really? thanks for the heads up, I was considering seeing them in a few weeks. They're playing some really small venues, I was a little surprised by that. But that might explain why...

It is basically just Billy Corgan now. I will be seeing them next Saturday. I will let you know how they sound.

Van Halen (w/ David Lee Roth) are releasing a new album.. I don't know if these guys are relevant enough anymore, and they sound too dated for me personally.... but they are legends in their own right, and I know there's alot of people who would love to see them. Could they headline bonnaroo?
Friday - Radiohead (Late Night - Sigur Ros) Saturday - Paul McCartney (Late Night - My Morning Jacket) Sun - Phish
^ I would be at peace with the world. The perfect HL/LN's for me!
That said, I have no idea if Radiohead would recant their previous environmental misgivings about 'Roo and play again...and logically, I just don't think Phish would be back this soon. I mean, it could happen and I would shit a brick, but I'm def not speculating their return yet.

Van Halen would most Definitely headline if they were at Roo. They sell out large arenas on every tour they go on, especially with DLR back in the band. I saw them in 2008 with Wolfgang VH instead of Michael Anthony on Bass. Ive heard they can be hit or miss live, but when I saw them it was unbelievably awesome. They level of excellency of the show definitely caught my off gaurd because Im just a casual fan. Also, they only played the DLR portion of their catalouge which was great. I wouldn't mind them at Roo, but I think there would some major backlash on this board.

I love Van Halen. Saw them with Hagar back in 2004 and they were pretty awesome. However, their kind of like other bands - Aerosmith, Kiss - that are fun in their own right, put on a good show, but shouldn't be at Bonnaroo. I'd rather see them at an amphitheater in my hometown...they just don't "fit" at Bonnaroo.
Friday: The White Stripes Saturday: Neil Young + Crazy Horse Sunday: Furthur
new band, old band, jam band. correct sizes. throw in hip-hop, indie, and an "other genre" legend at slot 4,5 or 6.
Not my ideal lineup, but I wouldn't be upset with this by any means. I would rather see The Dead, but it looks like Furthur is here to stay for a while. Not that there is anything wrong with that.
