swapped wilco/strokes, you're right that does make more sense. gotta keep the OutKast LN though. i think the big boi late night tent is probably more realistic, but if i got an outkast late night set that would be worth the ticket price to me.
also i like the roots where they are. closing which on sunday is a pretty big spot and then the last 3 acts to play the stages are roo vets. in addition each day has a big hip hop draw this way
Sunday is always more mellow then Friday, Saturday I just don't see The Roots there. The Roots already have been on the What Stage and I support a Late night Which in theory but having a hard time visualizing it?
On Outkast, I just think from all the contractual BS I hear about going on and how Big Boi just dropped an album that its more likely. Purely being practical
R.E.M. has been mentioned, but a Spring 2011 album release makes them even more promising. If U2 were Saturday, then I see no reason why they couldn't hold down (and rock) the Friday headliner spot. If not Bonnaroo, they will surely be playing some festival(s) in 2011.
-When I Hear My Name -Dead Leaves and the Dirty Ground -Blue Orchid -Passive Manipulation -Red Rain -Death Letter -My Doorbell -Hotel Yorba -Same Boy You've Always Known -Lovesick -Little Ghost -We're Going to Be Friends -The Hardest Button to Button -Black Math -The Nurse -I Just Don't Know What to Do With Myself
Encore: -Ball and Biscuit -Seven Nation Army -Screwdriver
Not to say that REM wouldn't fit or play Bonnaroo, but I think they're more Coachella-esque. Outside of Radiohead, Bonnaroo hasn't had a headliner that is widely associated and popular with the indie crowd.
I think REM makes sense at Roo. I can see them playing more than one festival next summer.
And not sure if this has been mentioned, but what about the group ?uestlove and Amy Winehouse are putting together. Quincy Jones had produced some recent stuff for Amy... Maybe not a headliner, but could be a nice pre-headliner before Mos Def and Outkast on Friday.

Anyone who can't get into R.E.M., go back further than their mainstream hits and check out the first 5 albums. My personal favorite is Lifes Rich Pageant.
Or, watch this wonderful show on YouTube chock full of goodness:
etc, etc. 12 parts in all if you want to keep watching.
