Paul McCartney * The White Stripes * My Morning Jacket * OutKast Daft Punk * Arcade Fire * Them Crooked Vultures * Wilco * Incubus * moe. * MGMT Deftones * The Roots * Procol Harum * String Cheese Incident * Placebo * Chemical Brothers Mos Def & Talib Kweli * The Mars Volta * Explosions in the Sky * N.E.R.D. * Lemon Jelly Slightly Stoopid * Flying Lotus * Mogwai * Portugal. The Man * The Expendables * RJD2
Damn, your lineup falls apart after Wilco...1) Mars Volta would be billed higher than moe. and probably higher than Incubus, 2) Procol Harum and Lemon Jelly? Really?, 3)Where are the mid-to-upper level indie bands (note: Mogwai, EITS, and Portugal. The Man don't fulfill this; think The National, Phoenix, The Black Keys, etc. this year)

Good call on Janelle Monae. That'd be a cool latenight show. And it would lend itself to Outkast also being on the bill, or at least Big Boi.
I would also like to commend you on the careful listening ear that is required to hear the deep-running similarities in the music of LCD Soundsystem and the music of Talking Heads. Couldn't agree more. I also hear a lot of Steve Reich's piano stuff in several of LCD's songs (noticably, All My Friends)

Yeah, I know what you're talking about...can't remember which song on "Low". Plus he has 1 or 2 songs on each album that sound at least a little bit like "Heroes".
** U2 ** Neil Young ** Red Hot Chili Peppers ** Daft Punk ** The Arcade Fire ** Outkast ** ** My Morning Jacket ** Rush ** Furthur ** Rage Against the Machine ** Vampire Weekend ** moe. ** ** The Wu-Tang Clan performs "Enter the 36 Chambers" ** Modest Mouse ** Live From Daryl's House All-Stars ** ** Annie Lennox ** Ben Folds ** Ryan Adams ** Fiona Apple ** Wolfmother ** Hot Chip ** ** The New Deal ** Richard Ashcroft ** The Hold Steady ** Cold War Kids ** NoFX **
Late night sets from Daft Punk (late night on What on Friday), Outkast (in the Jay-Z slot, but on Which) Hot Chip, Girl Talk, NoFX (the 2011 Gwar, basically), the New Deal, moe., the Wu-Tang Clan, the Live From Daryl's House All-Stars, The Streets, the New Deal (Thursday late night set) and Furthur.

Why don't we stop with the outlandish guesses already. There is a lot of year left before 2011's Roo and you should lower your expectations to a more reasonable level now.
Bennyc, for instance, you might get a 1/4 of what you have posted tops
Emoney serves more of a purpose than any of you, especially Nate, whose incessant, garbled ramblings are so mindless and pointless that I get depressed just seeing them.

No sh*t. Read it again. "Completely unreasonable."
As for NoFX, they put on a good show still. They'd be a good late night act in the way that Gwar was.
** Jesus H. Christ ** The Prophet Mohammad ** Jim James of My Morning Jacket ** Phil Lesh & Friends ** ** Moses & The Burning Bush ** The Stinking, Rotting Corpse of Jerry Garcia ** Manute Bol ** Scott Stapp **

Saying Fat Mike shouldnt be there cause he is 43 is kind of dumb, when Dexter of the Offspring is older. However, Nofx is terrible live. There is no coherence to their shows. they take 2 to 3 minutes after each song to tell jokes. If you have never seen them it is kind of funny, but after a few times its really frustrating and annoying. PLus Fat Mike is an egotistical pompous prick making it harder to enjoy the show. Only way the show would be good or worth it is if they played the decline, which they probably would since they play it in cities where they have never played before. The Offspring are a much better live band. Really they should book Bad Religion and Rancid (even though recent records arent great they are still awesome live), Flogging Molly would also be very fun.
Doesn't take any careful listening to hear Talking Heads in LCD, pretty blatant.
Edit: And I believe James's infatuation is less with The Talking Heads and more with Brian Eno.
funny you say that. Talking Heads wouldnt be the first thing that popped into my head if someone asked me what LCD soundsystem sounded like but that was an exact response a friend of mine gave when answering that question. i definitely get the comparison but i still wouldnt describe them that way for whatever reason.
