There's the Nashville Hot Chicken Fest on the 4th of July, at East Park on Woodland in East Nasty. Also, 2 fantastic local bands, Old Union and The Last Straw, are playing the Mercy Lounge Friday, July 23. Cover is 10 bucks. Anyone down?
Dude, I have four concerts lined up in the coming months (with thanks to TheDruid and dreamingtree): Paul McCartney, Primus, the Arcade Fire, and the Avett Brothers (Oct. 29 show). Hmmm...... McCartney's basically impossible for me, didn't that thing sell out in fractions of fractions of seconds? I tried to get tix for my parent's anniversary gift but got brickwalled. PM me the inforooster row for Primus info, I got a favor I could call in for that one. I might also be able to offer designated driver duty for the Oct. 29 Avett Bros, it'll the 366th day since a judge didn't think it was funny that I got a 95 Camry to go 115mph on Broad St. in Murfreesboro. You game for the 4th of July in East Nasty, or are ya chicken, Col. Sanders?
I am going to try and hit the free Buffett show then I am heading to Atlanta for Phish, before heading to set up camp infogood so I am booked. We do need to hang sometime though I enjoyed meeting you at camp.
No chicken fest for me as I will most likely be spending time with family that weekend... and taking my nephews to see Toy Story 3 (I'm more excited about it then they are).
As for Primus, we're in the Balcony, Section 11, Row B. I'm pretty sure it's my two tickets, then Jess and Tiene all right next to each other. And Druid is a row behind us.
